can you recap some of the analogies?
I only remembered SAGA:ACCOUNT ans: EPIC:POEM

I just posted this on my own thread, but...is this the order that you had??--

1.verbal (30 min): one analogy with like pedagogy:teaching
2.math** (MC)
--> one question towards the end with like 1 honeybee can produce 1
teaspoon in (I think) 6 weeks...with the same rate how many bees
are needed to produce...etc etc
--> something about a 3 digit number which you can get by multiplying 4
numbers?
3.math (quantitative and fill-in)
--> pyramid with same square base and height? area of triangle (or was
it base?)
--> something with large/small candies between paul and katie?
4.verbal (30 min)
5.math (MC --so obvi it's either this or the other that is experimental)
--> how many 3 digit number with a "2" at the end
--> I think this section had something with getting the area of the
garden from the diagram...but this could be another section.
--> a weird question at the end with like I, II, III with choices like I only
II only etcetc
6.verbal
--> I thought this was the hardest of the verbal sections! I am
desperately trying to remember what it was about. It was like
comparing 2 passages and first one was about physics and how it is
like poetry/metaphor and the second was like geologists....really not
sure. Anyone remember?
7.math

analogy I remember was like bitter: taste or something weird and one of the answer choice was varigaeted:...something?

there was also pedagogy:teaching as another answer choice (which I ended up picking)

but do you remember anything about that monsters 15 minute passage?? do you remember what you put on some of the questions??

oh yeah, the variegated:color one... whats the answer for that?

the monster one:
the first question asked about the two descriptions the author made and what do these two emphasize... i put: it shows that atmoshere causes people to imagine...

hey i put that atmosphere causes people to imagine too!! do you remember more?? I thought that section in verbal was so hard and it totally killed my verbal...it just felt like I had 1 minute left to answer the questions after reading it

and I didn't know what variegated means but it seems that is wrong because it's "having different colors" and I think the question was like "bitter: taste" or something

there was another analogy with itinerary? or was that sentence completion?

Some math questions in mind--

1) section 2 that honeybee thing!! I ran out of time...I wish I could remember the exact q
2) one of the fill-ins that was like find k for 3^6x=something something
3) the other 30 min math section (section 5)...the last question with I, II, III that had K-x<k+x or something weird
4) the last question of the 15 minute section with that probability between the 2 sets??...I am soo bad at probability!!

that was a pretty long list!! caterpede or anyone else does anything ring a bell?? thanks :)

yeah, i put the answer is Variegated:Color but i'm 100% its wrong lol dammn... but the others don't fit too :(
Some math questions in mind--

1) section 2 that honeybee thing!! I ran out of time...I wish I could remember the exact q...
Its something like 6 honey bees can make 1 teaspoon or something like that
basically its about direct proportions.
2) one of the fill-ins that was like find k for 3^6x=27^(something)
this one, you have to change the 3^6x to (3^3)^(2x) = 27^2x and equate the indices.
3) the other 30 min math section (section 5)...the last question with I, II, III that had K-x<k+x or something weird... this one the answer is II and III... II and III are actually equivalent inequalities and i managed to get it by adding the two inequalities obtained.
4) the last question of the 15 minute section with that probability between the 2 sets??...I am soo bad at probability!! icic.. this one it is (-1,0,1,2,3) and (-1,0,1) or something.. so the total number of choices is 5x3 = 15... (or if you count in ordered pairs, (-1,-1) (-1,0)... etc) Only 3 have the sum = 0 (-1,1) (0,0) and (1,-1) so the answer is 3/15 = 1/5

it is Itinery:Travel
the answer is Syllabus:Course ... The Itinery marks out what you do during your travel.. the syllabus marks out what you do during your course..

wat abt ketchup:condiment?????

ketchup:Condiment :: coffee:Beverage

anyway, there was a grid-in question about the length of the other side given the two sides of a triangle... what are the lengths of the two sides again?

^ 12 and 2

I put in 12. Easy way out, with the existence of isosceles triangles anyway :) Unless of course, I overlooked the given that the triangle is scalene.

What were your answers on the ka thing? Was the last given 27=ka^2 or 27=ka? I thought it was ka yet I couldn't solve it so I was hoping for the ka^2 one.

What about the cost of x/cost of y? I put it 2/3, but I believe the answer's 0.625

Ah... damn easel:canvas! Why the heck did I put in guitar:band? Stupid, stupid! :(
(Yes, it's lectern:book. Why, oh why?)

The triangle one was like an isosceles triangle sharing one side with an equilateral triangle. It asked to compare the angle bearing the 60degrees+the tip of the isosceles versus the 60degrees+one side of the isosceles

Did that make sense at all?? I wish i could draw it out. Anyways, hope that helped! :)

Hey caterpede--
Thanks for your answers! :) (you seem to be really good with math!)...for the I,II, III thing though, do you mind elaborating on what you did?? I remember I was like plugging in numbers and got II,III as my answer, and then I wanted to check the two with another number but I didn't have time...so i just put that. You add up the inequalities...?
Thanks!

For the variegated one, i guess the other answer was the sound one...I remember I came down to the variegated and that

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, that bitter:taste thing. I didn't put in variegated:color(It's choice A, isn't it?) I think my answer was B or C. I don't know what's in there though.

The honeybee thing, I believe it was: a honeybee, working at a constant rate, produces 1 teaspoon of honey in 6 weeks. How many honeybees are needed to produces 3 pints of honey in 1 week?

I answered the last choice, la.

wasnt cost of x/cost of y= 3/8 ?

the bitter/taste problem...the answer is definitely strident/sound....

sentence completion

last q of both sections
1. aplomb
2. abate... inure...

can somebody confirm this?

can someone please type out the entire question for the 3^6x problem??...i think it mightve missed it...cuz i had no idea what i was doing...hahaha...i also missed the last math question of the entire test..the one that was 1/5...i got 3/15 after doing all my work..and somehow my brain just died...and simplified that to 1/3....gosh..i duno what i was thinking...and by the way. the costx/costy is 3/8

yeh..aplomb is right..and so is abate/inure
i think the one w/ katie and paul and the candies..was 4 times
oh..there was one math question about the super successor whatever?..is 0 a positive integer?..cuz if it is...then that makes 8 numbers...0-7..but if not..then its just 7 numbers..1-7.
