OFFICIAL SAT II BIO June 2..

I know! Same with the 05 test some ppl posted! Man i really hope they didnt change it. it hink PR is trying to give us the lowest score to make us feel better or w/e when the test result comes. and sparknots copied off Pr because they're losers.
I hope barron's is right. I think a lotta probs were confusing on this test so i hope the curve is good.

Does anybody remember the roman numeral II for the question about gene linkage?

it was only located on sex chromosomes, i thnk

For the hidrolysis problem, it was definitely glycogen, not glucagon. And the result is definitely glucose because it was the only monosacharide from the choices. Someone said it would be starch, but it isn't because starch is not present in animal bodies (except in the digestive duct while not digested :-) ) and glycogen is not present in animals. So the two of them don't meet in any body.

what did you guys get for the one about the ant and the tree (it keeps away the vines etc. etc)? I put coevolution.

And what about the A B C D E evolution one with the arrows. I think A and E were the big arrows, B was coming out of E and D was coming out of B and C was coming out of D. (confusing, but I hope someone knows what I'm talking about)

I think I put coevolution for that as well.

i put coevolution also

It's coevolution.

I put coevolution too. For the phylogenetic tree one I put C and D are more closely related than B and E. Is that what you got, Prehistoric?

I did exactly what you did, ahh! My reasoning was that I thought 2 might've been a whale flipper, and I don't think there's much bone mass in a whale flipper... but apparently there is: http://www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/images/db/06s08q09.gif. Drat!

i thought the AP exam was easier...at least there weren't a lot of ecology questions
i thought it was unfair that the core questions were so focused on E...
the M section was all about labs and long stories..eh it was harder than i thought

i know i was so mad!!! i spent 2 weeks studying the kaplan book on organismal biology and some other stuff...they weren't even on the test for more than a few questions.
i just totally had no idea about the lab questions on the test!! that made me so mad

hey does anyone still remrerber wut the choices were for that question about the ant and the tree? thanks

Sam I Am, but see the question was asking abous STARLINGS only, so I'm pretty sure the proliferation of a competitor of the starlings was irrelevant.

What'd you guys say for the highest atomic weight in living organisms?

which plant tissue was dead? I dont exactly remember the question but some of the answers were xlyem, phloem, and parenchyma

it was xylem

And I knew I had seen the pictures of the flippers somewhere. Thank you mcas!!

Also im not sure how we were supposed to tell what year the starling expanded the most, i put the one where it increased by the greatest percentage but other years increased by the greatest area...

Not sure how i did on this one, I think I did alright but sill many i wasnt sure about... I bubbled in Bio-M, then when i got to that section i read the first five questions and went back and switched to bio-E lol... much easier

I think the nucleus has the most mass..b/c if you centrifuge or w/e the nucleus is the heaviest..then mitochondria.. than ribosomes..so i think ribosomes are the light weight or smallest

FOR THE STARLING QUESTION THE CHOICES WERE:

INTRODUCE A VIRUS WHICH KILLS
INTRODUCE AN EXOTIC SPECIES
TRAP AND PUT SOMEWHERE ELSE

IT CAN NOT BE INTRODUCE A VIRUS: this will not be effective, this will intially kill off some of the population but mutations will occur to produce extremely dangerous resistant species of birds (this will cause even more problems!!)

IT CAN NOT BE INTRODUCE AN EXOTIC SPECIES: in order to effectively kill a population that is inhabiting a land area one must introduce a """"NATIVE"""" species....if it is exotic then the species might kill the bird species but will screw up the other existing organisms lives (this will cause even more problems!)

***IT MUST BE TRAP AND PUT SOMEWHERE ELSE: this will utilize trapping birds and moving them to less inhabited areas, this will help and be the most effective way to decrease the population

for the question that said which element is most abundant in the human body what was the answer:

A) sulfur
B) carbon
C) hydrogen
D) phosphorus
E) ::::::::::::

PLEASE REPLY
