hmm. I think I got 5 wrong so far and 3 blank. sigh lol

all of them right so far =]

the swimming one is 1 the whale fin like it has a lot of bone in it can't remember the number

on the m there was a question on the immune system i know i got wrong the proliferation one you should add that

so so far

1 skipped
1 definitely wrong
2 possibly wrong (50/50)

Yeah.. i think i have 4 or 5 wrong.
2 of them possibly wrong.
I'm not sure about the immune system one.. i skipped it. lol

The protein component of all glycoproteins is synthesized from polyribosomes that are bound to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The processing of the sugar groups occurs cotranslationally in the lumen of the ER and continues in the Golgi apparatus for N-linked glycoproteins. Attachment of sugars in O-linked glycoproteins occurs post-translationally in the Golgi apparatus.

so definitely golgi apparatus!

i did not expect to do well considering i'm in 9th grade = regents biology not AP (we don't have any advanced placement until 10th)

^Lol.. I haven't taken AP. School doesn't offer it. Our Bio course was outdated. No, seriously. The books were from like the early 90's. lol
I had to relearn like all of the stuff.. no wonder I am getting so many wrong. lol

lol i know had to teach it to myself but i do better without teachers and i have a bit of a photographic memory. want to go to ivy league & med school so hopping for that 800

^ You have a good chance at an 800. I'm hoping for a 750+. lol

"Biggest factor in carbon cycle is photosynthesis and respiration"

I don't remember this question exactly, but I think the answer to this was decomposers? Anybody remember this question exactly and the answer choices?

Also, I'm pretty sure it's proportional for that substrate question near the end (after a lot of time). Just think about it. It starts off extremely fast, then slows down to practically a linear function.

with the sat you could get 100 on every test and there are some questions no one gets. i think there will be a big curve

afruff23: no I think they were proportional at early times.. b/c at high temperatures there was absolutely no correlation.

What was the answer to the enzyme question?

it was a I, II, III question

wasn't it only the one that said speed up reaction/lower activation energy
it wasn't speed up diffusion right???????

positive it didnt speed up diffusion, b/c then the effect of that would be constant for all but it was not. this is vague but cant recall the exact question.

^ I can't recall it at all. =/

what was the answer to the immune system question? (lapse in time for the response of immune system)

was the answer: production of more differentiated cells that can attack the virus??? something like that?

for enzymes it was two things: speeds up reaction and something about the molecules coming in contact with one another my teacher had talked about it

the enzymes are only proportional at low temperature and then they start to denature

and a side note: for the starling question the answers can be debated forever but im 99.999999% sure it is not introduce "an exotic species"-i talked to 3 AP bio teachers and consulted many texts and everything says thats the worst answer-one NEVER introduces an EXOTIC species-one ALWAYS introduces NATIVE species, for example the gypsy moth screwed up a whole ecosystem

addendum to answer list-
branch on tree is still 4 feet, grows from meristem shoots/roots

(last thing on e section) there were 4 trophic levels

decomposers have least effect on pop. density

plasma carries minerals, platelets and red blood cells are answers for the rest

mantle secretes shell

biogeochemical- nutrients are in limited amounts

something about coevolution

It totally agree with you! I also talked with my AP bio teacher and looked in my textbook and both said "introduce an exotic species" is wrong.

does any1 remember the immune system question: need help with that?????

what was the question asking for the organelle least likely to show up under the microscope or something about having the least mass??
what was the question asking? i thought it was ribosome or sumthing.
