I’m so glad there wasn’t literary term questions! I thought this was so much better than the first one i took… hoping for a 700++!

Does anyone remember any details about the story of oliver and women rights. I really liked it and want to continue reading it. What was the other women name? Mrs. Farrader? Anyways, please share any details u can recall of the story, I’m trying to find it.

Did u take the test early? How did u get all the poems before the test was released!
Blairwaldorf990 @Blairwaldorf990

There was one question asking for the definition of “gains” (the first poem). There were two plausible choices - future unseen happiness and fond memories of the wife. I put future unseen happiness…can anyone confirm?

Also Supreme favour = supports the conservativeness of the mother?

Lover makes her own radiance?

“If thou, to be so seen, be’st loth,
By sun or moon, thou dark’nest both,
And if myself have leave to see,
I need not their light having thee.”

Sophia was not a good child, and she obstinately denied in her heart the cardinal principle of family life, namely, that the parent has conferred on the offspring a supreme favour by bringing it into the world. She interrupted her mother again, rudely.

@FuzzyPeaches22‌ how in the world did you remember that!?

passages I found online
questions I jotted (49 of them) onto my planner right after i got out of the test center :p

What describes the Olive/women’s rights passage, were both characters using manipulation to get what they wanted, or was one of the characters misunderstanding the situation (Olive)?

One of the characters misunderstanding

Olive was not manipulative at all lol

Lol okay. Thanks! For some reason at first I thought she was. Also, when Mrs. Chen asked Claire about her education, was it to show the value that the Chens placed on education, or was it for her to gain control of the conversation?

Gain control of conversation

@FuzzyPeaches22
did u find the oliver/ women’s rights passage

darn. why was it gaining control of the conversation, because later on doesnt mrs chen talk about education for her kid?

“Now I want to talk to you about you”

Seems like she’s in control since shes deciding what they will talk about.

and her actions. she leans forward and crosses her legs over one another with bird-like angles. it seems as though she is physically imposing.
