I know 2 that I got wrong for sure after checking out the Math 2C thread... but apparently I got a lot of others wrong too. I didn't skip any.

Hopefully, a high grade in AP Calc will offset this.

720 USH. i never took APUSH, i just read a book the week before the exam. should i retake it?(applying to top tier schools, including some ivy)
good job everybody- dont see any bad scores.

i got a 500 on the literature what percentile is that

You can get a good idea here: http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/about/news_info/cbsenior/yr2005/16_subj_test_percentile_ranks_0506.pdf

Math 2C: 700?????

*** HAPPENED!!! ARGGH I only skipped 4 and thought that I got 3 wrong....does anyone know what score/how many wrong on Math Level 2 equates with a 700? I got a 136 on AMC and a 5 on the AP Calc test...this doesn't make any sense. Maybe I'll request handscoring...

:)
Lit: 790

:( :( :(
IIC: 660
IC: 630

Hand scoring only helps if you think you made some marks which werent dark enough to be picked up by the grading machine or if you changed answers and you think you didnt erase the wrong answers enough.

wow a 136 on the AMC...

retake it if you get the chance. you're bound for the 800.

Biology M - 750...hey, some of you would DIE with that score, but I'm pretty damn happy. haha

Math II : 800!

Tedjn: Well here is why I did no preparation - I pretty much had no choice. I am not in HS but in college and I am trying to transfer. I am taking classes like linear algebra and more advance organic chemistry and physics with calculus so I'd rather study for those than for the SAT IIs. There is so much work and homework that I couldn't even dream of doing an SAT II practice tests. On the other hand, I have been out of HS for a bit so I took precalc more than 5 years ago and the calculus classes now didn't reinforce precalculus much. However, this didn't matter because I remember everything when it comes to math - it just makes so much sense to me and I see it.
Also, when I took Math Ic one year after I graduated from HS, I forgot my calculator and I got 720 - I had 8 omitted and 0 wrong because I had to do so much clalculation by hand. I remember having to calculate sin of 1 radian and the having to approximate sqrrt(2)-1, sqrrt(3)-1 by hand and compare them. And I even got that question right!!! Of course I didn't have time for the last 8 questions.

Being in college, however did hurt me on the chemistry test as 1.organic chemistry emphasizes other concepts especially when it comes to acid base things 2. some extermely easy factual things were never covered in college courses so I never learned them. Example: the coulor of the flame when burning things. We do NMR spectroscopy instead of looking at colors :P. Also we used tables when dealing with things and quantified everything so I never needed o remember for example that Na3SO4 is basic. If that question were asked we'd simply need to look at a table and get the pKa values, do an ice table and calculate the pOH... However, I on the SAT Chem they want you to know this. Basically, SAT Chem didn't even feel like a real science to me. I answered all questions just based on common sense (lol I don't have any and that's why I got a 760).

question: I know that people transfer successfully with 690, 710, even 650 on SAT IIs to places like Harvard and Stanford. SAT IIs' importance for transfer is les than 5%. However, people took those before they graduated HS. Do you think that 760 for a college student looks bad?

IIC - 760
Physics - 590

The only college that required the SAT subject test was Harvey Mudd. And trust me I already sent them a letter explaining my circumstances. (Physics only offered during my senior year, we've only gotten through Forces and One dimensional motion. I'd say I did pretty good for only knowing 7% of the test material.)

Edit: Now that I've seen the percentiles I'm pretty disappointed. A 760 in IIC is only 76 percentile. That's terrible :(

Physics - 740

DONE! I dont care, this is the last SAT I ever take. It seems good enough; 700+ is competitive right?

math 2c
800
i skipped 6
and i thot i got some wrong
generous curve =)

math ic - 700 :)
physics - 540 :(

sparknotes sucks... seriously. they put too much pressure on non-conceptual stuff. and i trusted sparknotes... damn it...

Math Level II- 800

I agree! The whole ing test was concepts, and sparknotes kept trying to push their bull problems instead which didn't help at all!! I had to cancel because I only got to number 50 on the test :(

800 Math IIC
800 Literature
780 Chemistry

@ kdd: I got the same score as you! :)
Did anyone else take the Math IC and do better than a 700?

well, i'm not too happy about my physics. :(

Hazhulkhen, i feel sorry for you, and you're totally right... but we can't do anything about it now. :(
