Official SAT March 10 Math Discussion

i got (2,4) as well. im pretty sure its correct

but f(x)=(2,5) i think

(3,5) is the answer....graphing calculator confirmed

yeah but how did you do it

problem never said it was a linear relationship. It explicitly said that which one MUST work.

I believe your logic would not be correct if it were a quadratic relationship.

Im not trying to be a jacka$$ or anything but its like, im so sure that I would bet anything lol. I even remember myself thinking "if it wasnt for the negative sign, this would be so easy!".

Btw, for the problem of (3,5) or (2,4), can anyone word it because I remember putting (3,5) but not remember the problem so I could explain how I did it.

I used f(x)=2x+1 ... I might be wrong.

what was the 4.N one?

did it ask for p or x?

was (3,5) answer choice b?

Ok I think I remember the problem.

f(2) = 5
f(x-1) = ?

Well, if you take the point (3,5) and you plug it in then it will be f(3-1) which is the same as f(2) = 5 and therefore you get (3,5)

4.N question was 4.6 i think.

what was that one question, it was something like:
x+y+ab or something for all values of x and a and b are constant, did you guys get b=3?

Lurker- It asked for x. Which is p/5. p=23 so 23/5 = 4.6

it asked for the 4.6....i had to erase at first bc I put 23 as well....4.6=x is the answer

unfortunately it asked for x, and i stupidly put p. and it was xy not -xy; im positive. also, its (2,4) graphing calculator confirmed.

no b was (2,4) but i thought it was f(3) = 5

pall, I got b = 6

x^2 - 9x + 18 = x(x-3a) +(ab)

x^2 - 9x + 18 = x^2 - 3ax +(ab)

3 * a = 9
a = 3

(3)(b) = 18
b = 6

did anyone get 88 for the largest odd integer question

yea 88 was the answer

sweatpants was that the largest prime factor question? or am i making this up lol.
