poop i hope its a good curve so that i can get a 770 i my parents will be really mad if i dont get a 1400 (cr+math) so i need to do as best as i can on math to even out a marginal eng grade.

what choice was 1/16a^2 a,b,c,d, or e

either C or D i think

I think it was C.

is the experimental section the one with the cube and 2^-x * 2^y = 8? all the other math were easy but that section was hard

It wasn't experimental since I had that section and my experimental was writing.

Which writing section was the experimental one?

section 7. it was really obvious because it was stupid easy and every question tested the same exact rule.

Does anyone remember the question involving something about a graph and it being tangent to the x-axis? I omitted that question, can someone explain it to me?

i got 4, Duper

Roots: x=4 or x=4

Do you remember the question? I was completely dumbfounded.

all you have to do is get that term x^2-8x+16 into (x-4)^2 and then the vertex is at (4,0) and viola, there is your answer

it was where is the eq y=x^2-8x+16 tangent to x axis

can someone tell me what the problem was where you get 1/16a^2

I just took the derivative of the function and solved for x:

x^2 - 8x + 16 = f(x)

f'(x) = 2x - 8

2x = 8
x = 4

I had four math sections and had problems with the last two problems on the third section. One asked for the number of combinations when two applicants out of eight with 5 positions availble would both have a position. The other was something like: A, B and C are different points. Which of the following cannot be true.

AB + AC > BC
AB - AC < BC
AB + AC = BC
AB^2 + AC^2 = BC^2

or something along those lines....

Can anyone help me with these?

also I got 1/16a^2 and (3,5) for the ones that seem to be under question... it was (3,5) becaue (x-1, y) moves the point over one to the RIGHT in the x direction... chears

can someone tell me what the problem was where you get 1/16a^2 and what the other answer choices were

Did anyone get the question with the farenheit and celsius?
i think i got like 81.4 for that but im not sure.

or it could have been 33. lol i just dont remember
but did anyone get the farenheit question

and what exactly is the experiemental, today was my first time taking the SATs

Argh...... that was such an easy question. I can't believe I omitted. I kept thinking it tangent meant perpendicular, haha.

@lolol, I think the answer was 122.
