Official SAT Math IIc October Discussion

Was the volume question V(t) = 3t + 50 on Level 1 or on Level 2 (I can't remember)?

thats true, but it said set of ALL points. the 4 points would be included in the circles, 2 in each circle.

Yeah, exactly. Set of ALL points. The circle would have the set of all points. There's more than 4 points that applied.

argh thats 42 raw then....hopefully no more wrong and i get a 790

just a question.. about the heartbeat one... do you guys really think that a question that far into the test (almost at the end) would be just about plugging and chugging? or was i thinking about it too much?

I have -6 for the 6 I skipped. I'm wondering what questions I MISSED though. Hopefully no more than 2... or else 800 is not possible.

Yeah, it was ~#44, which is why I question how plugging in 60 to get 120 would be correct. It was nearly the end, and it did not seem possible that you could get an answer that quickly?

Can anyone else comment on the perp. line question? Was it circles or 4 points?

ahh, I see. For some reason, I thought they meant that you would include not just the points on the circle but inside the circle. Oh well, I was in a hurry.

I feel kinda dumb! lol

how many did everyone skip? I thought they were all do-able and I only skipped 1...

I skipped the plane one with the lines...because I didn't study that and just got lost in the wording =P

Edit:
For probability, I got: 5! - 10!/5!

And for the function one, it was f(1) < g(1) through process of elimination =P

Petri dish was 322....pretty sure.

The 1/f(x) one was reflected across the y=x line right?

skipped: last probability question, plane/line question, and the functions f and g...f-g for x=1 is below the x-axis

not sure about: pet dish (ALKSJDLAKDSJ I PUT 396 i was in such a dilemma choosing between C or D..), heartbeat, and one that showed a graph and asked what the graph of y= 1/ f(x) looked like.

Oh yeah. That was the question. What was 1/f(x) supposed to be? Was it A or C??

the inverse of an f(x) graph is its reflection over x=y

How does plugging in work for the Sin(2pie t) question. That would give you Sin (120 pie) which is 0 and that can't be the answer.

aquamarinee-it was A

That was C then right? I think I put C... Was it the one where it crossed y=an integer number I cannot remember?

for the sin (or was it cos?) qtion about the periods, i remember the original as being sin(2x+4) or something, so the pd is 2pi/2, but i specifically remember seing a choice that was sin(x+2), which did not have the same pds as the others... am i just making this up?

1 / f(x) was 'A'

sky 2345: I think the equation was 120 + sin(2pit)

Therefore it would become 120 + 0 = 120

Circles or 4 points. I still don't know that one either... I'm slightly confused right now... I'm pretty sure it's circles??

Was the 1/f(x) graph the one where the graph crossed the y-axis at some integer number, since the original crossed at y=1?

i skipped 4
and missed 3 .. so far: the hb one, the salary one(...), and the pet dish area

this is depressing
