I'm concerned about that permutations question... did anyone get that? 10 serial numbers?
I guessed 15! - (10!)/5

i got 5! *10!/5!

Oh yeah good point. I was only looking at the one on the top.

How about the question that asked how many years would it take to get $300 if you began with $100 at 4.8% interest per yer? The trap was "23 years." It would take a minumum of 24 years correct?

uhhh maybe it was that... my memory is a little off... but actually i think its 10!/5 because the 5! would cancel... so lets say it was 5!*10!/5? Does that sound okay?

joshb has got it. It was 5!*(10!/5!), which is just 10! when simplified.

yea its 24, since its compounded annually it wouldnt break 300 until 24 years

why was this test so damn easy compared to june?

Yes APM I got that....

So so far...
*** denotes unsure

The plane with perpendicular line = 2 circles

how many years would it take to get $300 if you began with $100 at 4.8% interest per yer? = 24 years

*** 10 slot serial number, 5 letters, 5 digits. 5! * 10!/5!

it was just like...
5 letters? so 5 4321
then 10 numbers
so 109876 which is 10!

i agree with everything.

Why did I make this more difficult than it was? sigh alright so was 5! * 10!/5!....

was there another answer similar to this one? Was there an answer that was 5! + 10!/5...

What was the truck problem with the 60% chance to get textbooks and 40% chance to get calculators and you had to find out the probability of getting something (the percentages are independent of each other)?

Also what was the integer one with r, s, t, k?

I think the r, s, k, v problem thing was rs/10?

I plugged numbers in for the variables and computer the results.

Am I right?

I think thats it... was that choice E, then yes

I plugged in numbers and got D, which was

sv/ a number. (sorry can't remember).

I plugged in 600 for k, and that's how it turned out.

Yes it was E.

The plane with perpendicular line = 2 circles

how many years would it take to exceed $300 if you began with $100 at 4.8% interest per yer? = 24 years

10 slot serial number, 5 letters, 5 digits= 5! * 10!/5!

r, s, k, v problem thing= rs/10

Use 30 as previously suggested. You don't need to prove it in general, just find one number to satisfy the initial statement and work from there...

My responses, please correct if wrong.

The Sk sequence was 2^k-1
f-g(1) is negative when f(1)<g(1)
The truck problem was 0.76 (guessed)
polar coordinates one was E

Lets see which others I remember and someone okay them...

the composition of functions problem where we had to find f(x) and g(x)=4 ... I put: 1/2x-2
I think the b^2 - 4ac with 4 graphs was the upside down parabola which had its y intercept below the origin
- There was one that we had to see which function had a different period; that was whichever answer did not have a 2 in front of the x.

^^ yes I had that, so...
- f(x) - g(1) is negative when f(1)<g(1)
