Official Sat Math Level 2 Thread

stanfordian, i don't think that one is right. do you remember the question? i think i got C, not sure, which letter

yeah i wanted to know the answer of the pyramid one too!!

I thought this was easier than June.
I got the 10! simplified as well. What was the answer to the polar coordinates one.. i remember getting something in the second quadrant but I forget which.
What was the one with law of cosines.. SSS 5,9,7 the angles were like 97 and 33 or something i remember it being 97.
Uh.. what was the probabiliy one.. I remember taking the probablity it would happen either way (1 first, 2 second; 2 first, 1 second). I forget the answers right now but I remember like 10/32 or 14/32.. I think i might've put the former.
I got no solution for the abs. value one.
Hmm for the limit one.. I got 2*infinity-whatever/infinity which was undefined/didn't have a limit (infinity/infinity.. and I assumed you weren't doing L'Hopitals)...what did I do wrong there?
Finally.. what do you guys think the curve will be like.
What would 5 omit... 4-6 wrong be?

I got 92 for pyramid

impeccable,

for the cosx=-sqr(1-sinx^2) one, its all values in the 2nd and 3rd quadrant

i got 92 for the pyramid one as well

what pyramid..? are there different tests?

it wasnt actually a pyramid...it was the question with the 5 dot arrangements....and then they asked you for the number of dots on the 8th arrangement

that was easy 8x8 +7 +6+5+4+3+2+1. is it wrong too? scared

i got 60 for the heartbeats one...

the period of a sinusoid is 2pi/b....b being the coefficent in front of x....

there therefore the period is equal to 2pi/2pi = 1...

60 sec in a min * 1 beat a sec = 60 beats

i got 120 for the heartbeat... I plugged 60 sec into the equation of my ti-89 and it gave me the answer... 120

this thread is making me depressed... ugh.. got the plane and the line one wrong.. i always get those wrong :(

the bowl inside a cylinder wasn't half a circle, cuz the height was 5 and the radius was 4.5. I mean, I did it as if it were as circle but I don't really think it was. I should've done an educated guess.... meh.

i think for that one i got like 256 or something?
choice D?

For the bowl one, I got something like 332. I did it as though it was a hemisphere inside of a cylinder. Found the area of the base, the area of the sides, and the area of a sphere with a radius of 4.5 and divided it by 2. I was rushing though, so I could have done it wrong.

Anyone know what the curve for this test normally is? Where does getting 3 wrong with 0 left blank put me?

........

for the 10! one was there a choice that said just "10!" or did the choice say 5! x 10!/5! because i remember marking a choice with both 5! and 10!/5! ... maybe it was plus? ihope not..

the correct answer was 10! which was given in a lame manner like 5! * 10!/5!....so u r right...

btw my heartbeat is still beating quite hard for the "heartbeat" question....finally was it 60 or 120??

I got 100 for the pyramid.

What about the circle intersection question?
There are ten distinct lines, no two are paralell, how many intersections? (I got 45)
If r and s are paralell. Then which of the following is true:
(If t interests r, then it interects s
If t is paralell to r, it is paralell to s)
