Official Sat Math Level 2 Thread

for the second to last question, the one about the surface area of the feeding dish, i got A as my answer, the one like 127 or something. I found the surface area of the whole cylinder and then subtracted that from the surface area of the half sphere since its a dish and indented and there isnt anything there . am i retarded? were u suppossed to add the areas?

i thought you had to add the lateral area+bottom circle area+ the surface area of the hemisphere...
at least thats wat i did (dont remember wat i put)... the answer came out though

Yes, you need to add the surface area of the sphere,

i took the math2c test in october but reg sat today. do u know which was overall harder??? (oct math2c or nov math2c

was the answer c for the surface area question?

i put E
it was like 459 i think... i did half of the hemisphere, found the circumference of the circle and multiplied it by 5 (because it's like a rectangle i think if you spread it out), and then found the area of the bottom and added it all together.

thats what i did, and i got c...

2 x pi x r + pi r ^2 + 1/2 surface area of sphere.

b u m p

I did the same thing, and got 332, letter c.

It was h = 5, r = 4.5, so its pi(4.5)^2 + 45pi + 2pi(4.5)^2 or something like that.

it was 200 and something i think

yea maybe 332, but i put c for sure

i think i did exactly that but i got 256 i think

i thought that the area of the surface of cylinder was 2 pi r h
so i did that + area of the base + area of half of the sphere

was the answer c?

so which math2c test was harder october or novemeber.

i thought it was D

b u m p

What do you guys predict 5 omit, 4-6 wrong would be?
What do you think the overall curve is going to hover high or low?

if i left 8 blank and then like missed 2 what would be my score

i already had a 770, but i don't wanna cancel cuz i think i did good on USH

It was way easier than I expected. (Maybe barron's effect)

I think i got 332 or something like that for the bowl problem.

Just added base+lateral area+Surface area of hemisphere

Lets see, what did I get wrong.

The r s v k one, because of stupidity. I think I might have gotten the cos A one wrong and put 5/3, and I think I got the law of sines one wrong. What was it, for the triange with sides 9,7,5?
