math-1 ->780-790
W -0 -> Essay…assume as 8 -> 770
CR -> -8 could still be in 700’s

thats still upwards of 2250

actually, -1 in math could be fatal. Math curves are always so harsh and last time I got 2 wrong on math, I got 740 and one of my friends who only got 1 wrong got 720. It’s RIDICULOUS D:<

The reading curve is bad, but not as bad as math.

Your essay, loopyz, would probably get 8

-1 math would never, ever ever, ever be 720

720? never
740 was for the march one right? that one was realllllllllllllllllllly easy compared to this one (i took it)

fun thread.

Did anyone else see that weird math problem with the blocks that gave the area of them when they were laid our in a line, and then asked for the area when they were re-arranged?

That was a total fake out, right? Unless I read it wrong. Sort of a doozy.

Also, did anyone else have the “nature” prompt for their essay? That was an interesting one, I almost wanted to answer “no, it is NOT important” to spend time outside just because it was so leaning towards the affirmative.

Looking forward to the 28th!

Haha i remember that question. I kinda got scared 'cause it was so simple that i thought it was a trick question, but i wasn’t totally sure.

Yea one wrong is never a 720

a harsh curve would be 800->770->740

but hmmm say I got one wrong in writing (just in case)

An 8 doesn’t sound too bad, Im a bit relieved
I was scared of a 5 or something lol

The lowest -1 math has ever been is 760.

lmao -80 points for a single one wrong? that’d be ridiculous

woah… after reading more posts on this thread… it’s pretty ridiculous how some people are trying to guess their EXACT score.

Relax everyone, when we get our scores, that’s what they’ll be… you can’t change anything you did wrong or right on the Oct test, so don’t worry about it

Hopefully everyone gets their dream score! And if you don’t, CC and 100points will be around to help get you there.

BTW - did anyone catch that sneaky error ID that had “would of” instead of “would’ve”? The SAT is getting sneaky!!!

^Ya, I caught the “of” error. Only reason I caught that is because I used to make that error on essays back in 8th/9th grade.

^Yah “would of” instead of “would’ve”. I spent like 3 min. rereading that question. I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was too easy, so I thought it was a trick question. Can’t wait till thursday. 2:00 a.m. PDT in SoCal…

If “would of” instead of “would have” had been on my test then I would have caught it for sure. It’s one of my grammatical pet peeves.

Yeah, it was a pretty sneaky tactic. I haven’t seen the SAT do a question like that before. Definitely easy to catch if you’re looking for it, but I’m sure a lot of people got busted on it.

Good luck with the scores everyone!

Does anyone recall the math question with 2/3, 4/6, and 6/8. Are we sure that the answer didn’t just ask for all the other possibilities besides 2/3? I put my answer as TWO instead of THREE because I thought that it was asking for how many fractions using integers less than 10 equal 2/3… Are we sure it wanted us to include the 2/3 in our count?

if it didn’t explicitly say “besides” 2/3, then it wanted them all. The SAT Math is very explicit in their instructions. Every word is important!

yeah it was all three…very sneaky

I don’t know, that’s what she told me. 720 for 1 wrong. Maybe her test was super easy and she messed up.

Results in 3 days, guys!
Who’s going to stay up to the early morning to check their results the moment it comes out?

Just praying for 2100 superscore.

I just want 1800+ on my SAT. I scored a 1600 on May SAT and then an 1830 on the psat so hopefully i will get about that same score, if not higher.
