a lot of the college confidential community is the top 1%, so top tier schools I guess

^
I’m applying to:
UChicago, Yale, Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, Johns Hopkins, and some liberal arts schools. I don’t know where I’ll go. The decision depends on monetary benefits, etc.

I’m applying to UVA, W&M, Tufts, Harvard, Brown, Columbia, Virginia tech(safety) and Amherst

From Virginia, but I want to go to brown or tufts SO BAD (tufts more)

I am currently waiting for my failscores.

when you guys were predicting curves a couple pages back, what does stuff like “right/left of center”, and “10/06” mean? and is green left or right of center?

Based on the chart they were referring to, green means it will be a harsh curve AKA it was an easy test. Yellow means medium curve, and red means lenient curve AKA hard test. Right/left, when referring to yellow, means on which side of the medium curve, since it has the widest range. Somebody posted a link to the file they were referring to, if you search for it in the earlier pages.

green-easy(on the far left) 10/06 is oct '06 test

thanks guys!

ahhhhh less than 6 hours to go-who’s staying up to 5 to see their scores?
I’m not. 1) I need sleep, I have a huge test tomorrow. 2) I’m too scared. 3) I’ll probably scream in anguish when I see my scores, thus waking my neighbours.

hahahaha

I have two newspaper articles to write before tomorrow. Who knows–maybe I’ll end up staying on writing.

Sat is not end of the world !!!

I’m applying to Carnegie Mellon early decision (with a 2230 sat currently).

im in cali, i could stay up to 2 a.m. and see my scores(can’t wait), but that leaves me with only 4 hours of sleep. I think i’ll wake up at 5…

yeah, I get up at 6:45 every morning. I guess I can just wake up 10 min earlier, go on the computer, and check my scores. Though, if they are bad, my mood will be ruined for the rest of the day.

I’ve been sick the last few days, so I’m not going to stay up. Otherwise, I was totally going to (I have some work to do, anyway).

Do we get score reports on Oct 28? Or do we just get the score and the score reports comes later?

reports will be available on tue, nov 2nd, i think

^oh, thanks. I can’t wait to read my essay and see how bad I did on it

Do they just give us a straight score? like 2300?
or would they say
Critical Reading 700
Math 800
Writing 800
Essay 7?

^
They will give you the M, CR, and W scores. No essay.
