Official SAT Spanish June 2012

I personally found it relatively easy overall, but a passage or two really threw me (the Iglesias one, in particular) when I skipped them and ran out of time... Any curve predictions??

I also found it pretty easy! What level of Spanish have you taken up to? I took AP Spanish this year, and this was way easier than the AP test as far as critical reading, grammar, etc. My only issues were with some of the fill in the blanks where the syntax or vocab might throw me off. But I have high hopes for my score as long as the curve isn’t too bad  I don’t think the curve on this test is terrible; it just gets messed up by all the native speakers sometimes.

I took AP Spanish this year, too! It was definitely easier than the AP in terms of reading. What’s the curve usually like for this? I was afraid that native speakers would destroy it, even though I could see them having trouble with some of the grammar questions like we (/I) did.

I’m not really sure about the curve. I know the average score for the SAT Spanish is 647, which is decent (especially compared to the Literature, which I think is 576). What score are you aiming for?

What did you guys put for the “ellos son muy /adjective/ ___ nosotros.” A or con?

Oh yeah, I wasn’t sure about that one. The adjective was “simpaticos.” I put a because that’s how you would say it in English… “they’re very friendly to us?”

lol i put “con” i have no idea. can someone else input?

Also there was a question where it was between “los cuales” and “los que.” What did you put?

It was “con” guys

Well, I’m a senior heading to Georgetown in the fall, and am aiming for a 750+ for good placement, but it’s not the end of the world.

I think that I ended up putting “con” for that question, but I may have skipped it, thinking back. I put “los que” for the other one for sure, though. It was referring to “los ninos” (I think?), so “those which” wouldn’t make much sense in that context.

los que is definitely right. @Kili16 how are you so confident about your answer? Not doubting your abilities or anything, just wanted to know if you learned this. I don’t think it’s come up in my class).
