Official SAT Subject Test - Biology E/M - June 2015

@squash0107 Kangaroos are marsupials and have both hair and feet? What were the other answer choices?

never mind ik i got that wrong tho so whatever. If I want to get 780 or above, how many should I get wrong

@squash0107 I think 7 or 6 wrong

For the Pines ferns north side south side, what was your reasoning behind the slope answer?

annd did you think it was easy?

Yea the only one I had no clue was the tree question…

I said that they weren’t getting enough water on one side of the mountain or something.

@cglynn same here. For the question on mammals, I put the heart chamber one lol idk what I was thinking. Overall, I thought the test wasn’t too difficult; it was doable and timing was a bit of an issue because there were so weird data questions on the M section. Anyway, how many can you miss in order to get a 700? And if you didn’t do so well, will colleges look down on you? (Assuming that you scored REALLY high on the SAT)

I also said the same thing. It would make the most sense considering south = sun -> dries out plant -> therefore hindering its growth in contrast with the north pine trees.

Honestly hoping for a 730-770, took the Barron’s and got a 640 though so I’m not too confident.

What was the answer to the one about the tomato? Options were like protozoan, virus, bacteria?

And what was the one with the picture of the lake and the crabs. Options were like density of burrows and substrate something or other.

the tomato question had to be virus. I skipped the pine tree question

Ok! I said virus too! What about the one with the Gallbladder? Sensory or motor? there were other options that might have worked too.

@thethinkingman I said that it there is not enough water for pines to grow, only shrubs.

I said motor because only the motor neuron would cause the release of bile from the gall bladder

I said motor too because motor said something about sending them to the gallbladder whereas I think that sensory said away from the gallbladder.

also, for the mammal question, I’m pretty sure not all placental mammals have feet (like dolphin)

Also, did anyone take the e section as well? How do you feel you did?

What was the one about gene families and how they can be paired up now because of evolution. This was due to either substitution, translocation, inversion, deletion…

I said duplication because it said that their functions overlapped, and they would later alter slightly due to mutations
