Official SAT Subject Test - Chemistry - June 2015

Alkene is actually cnh2n 1:2 ratio… @tooeasy wait what? seriously? i just thought it asked the one WITH a double bond and picked the first one with cnh2n

@goodone
Yea sorry, that’s what I meant. I picked C4H8 lol, wasn’t paying attention to how many bonds there are

@goodone there were at least two answers (C3H6 and C4H8) that contained just one double bond

I think the answer for the two double bonds was C4H8, right?

The question asked for two double bonds.

@L3tan3 It’s C4H6 (butadiene)

What the specific heat of the metal?

So which one had 2 double bonds?

C4H6 had two double bonds

@blandscreenname I put 0.70 for that one I believe.

ugh, I got 1.4 or 1.6

Which question are u guys talking about ?

can someone confirm with the .70 for the specific heat?

@tina23 they are talking about the only calorimery problem with the metal added to water i believe

the one where there was 100 grams of water at 20 degrees Celsius and after a 50 gram metal (85 degrees Celsius) was added to the water, the highest temperature recorded was 25 degrees Celsius. What is the specific heat of the metal.

the specific heat one

What did you guys say for the one about figuring out how many waters are attached to the copper sulfate? I said D, but I guessed

I said D as well, but I guessed as well.

What the heck? I don’t think I got that questions, I recall absolutely nothing about it. Hummm

Did you skip it by any chance?
