OFFICIAL SAT1 Thread

Booyah baby

I took the international version. Verbal wasn't that bad...math was a little tricky.

It went good :) Don't know what kind of a score that translates into. Section 2 was almost certainly experimental... three passages, two of them one paragraph passages with two questions each.

yeah section 2 was experimental because it had three small passages...

Overall, the test was too easy. But still, I have a weird feeling that I got an unacceptable wrong answers, because I was fasting and I always get tired when I have to sit for 3 frickkin' hours.. :@

AHh, you guys sure section 2 is out? I mean, the experimental one? Geez, i'm pretty sure i did better in that than the section 3 one. Oh well..Math was kinda easy though..

Maths was too simple.
Section 2 is definitely out. Apart from the 3 small passages, the long passage on Leonardo had once been featured in a sample test offered by some site online.

Dont be fooled by the Math, my observation was that the questions were extremely tricky!!

Verbal was good, barring a couple of Analogies

I was actually very lucky my test centre was open, coz around 6 were closed nation wide (coz the ruler passed away)

math was comparatively easy, or we seniors...have had enough practice... :) the section 2 needs to be experimental or i will explode cos i didnt do it attentively....just filled in some ovals..adding to it i kept on reading section 6 passage (it was interesting though and pretty enjoyable) but when i tcame to answering question i got stuck up on 3 to 4 question, well what were the last two answers....abt the tone of passage...and about the family of the author?

I don't think it's a good idea to discuss right now, wait for a couple of hours while the rest of the world catches up

Akash, which test centre did you give it at? I was at Modern

Me too. I was the sole applicant for standby testing (the fat guy) for SAT 1

Heh... I don't remember, sorry.

I was in room no. 1 i think... blue shirt, black jeans

May I ask, if you do horribly, how do you cancel your score?

you send them a fax

Is it possible to cancel your score while your there? Also; can you wait until you recieve your score to cancel?

yes,but u cant cancel scores once u recieve them

That was one hell of an experience! I never sat down for 4 hours (1 hour before the test for God knows what) doing something productive... I swear I lost interest around section 4. I was also fasting (it's Ramadan, and I'm Muslim) so I got extremely hungry and thirsty. That and having this weird urge to go to the bathroom exactly in the middle of every frickin' section didn't really help much.

Anyway, I think I did good. The math section was really easy; tricky but easy. I think I found 3 silly mistakes when I was revising. The verbal section was generally okay, although a bit challenging at times. I guessed a couple and omitted a few. So yeah, I'm hoping for the best.

Either way, I'm never EVER retaking.

If you all think the test was easy, then think about the curve.. one point could cost u your target!

yes. the curve. damn it

hahha i ' ll be fasting too... i find i can actually concentrate somewhat better during the early parts of the fast and really crappy towards teh end when i am starving very bad.....
hope verbal is easy so i can at least get questions right....
math i'm not too worried for...
