As many of you may know, the SAT Math IIC requires a calculator and preferably, with some sort of software to help you accelerate mathematical calculations (which precisely describes the nature of SATOS ). A number of users have requested the development of a version of SATOS SPECIFICALLY designed for the SAT Math IIC test. I am officially starting development of this software today and a BETA version will be available soon. My goal is to have the software refined enough by the end of the summer so that all of you will be able to take advantage of the capabilities of SAT_OS in time for the next SAT administration (October 6th, 2007). The first BETA version will be a fully working copy, but it may have some bugs.

Good luck to everyone on tomorrow's SAT test(s)!

UPDATE:

There will be approximately 36 BRAND NEW FEATURES to the updated version of SAT_OS (making this version the largest, most advanced, and useful to date)! These new features will be specifically honed to the SAT Math IIC test. I will add more information as it becomes available.

dude programmer. ure the reason why i think i am gonna get 800 on the june math IIc. that distance/slope formula and that triangle solver is awesome.

are there any updates for non TI89 calculators? i have ti84+ and was just wondering if u had any new features/solvers.

dude, this OS is the reason I am going to buy a usb calculator connector thing ;)

I am glad that you all find SAT_OS useful! :)

As of right now, there will not be a TI-83+/84+/Silver Edition version of SAT_OS for the SAT Math IIC - at least not until next summer. The reason being that the capabilities of the TI-89 allow for the more advanced features necessary for the SAT Math IIC test; unfortunately, many of these features just are not available on the aforementioned calculators.

However, I can say that I probably will update the TI-83+/84+/Silver Edition version of SAT_OS for the SAT I Math subsections sometime in the future. I can also say for sure that there will be an update to the TI-89 family version (in the very near future) making the latest version 2.70 (from 2.60). :)

I have already commenced the actual development of the TI-89 version of the SAT_OS Math IIC version - a few features have already been completed. At this rate, the software should be available within the next 15 days, if I work a little bit each day. I will keep you all posted.

just do it on the paper!! all you calculator depending people are weak

^^ flip my hamburgers

Let's not flip out now... That calculator program really can help on some of the problems. I like the fact that it is such a useful tool but I really wish that there weren't so many menus to go through. I guess it's the only way to pack so much info on there.

Thank you VERY much for developing it... I know a lot of people who use it and they all are very grateful. Most of the people I know use the ti 83+/84+/silver and I know that the 89 is forbidden on the ACT so make sure not to forget those of us stuck in the past while you develop your programs for new calculators!
