Official SATII Literature!

i must say i found this the toughest of the 3 i took today, and much harder than all of the lit practice tests i took. i'd say it was a fair bit harder than the AP eng lang.

not that i'm complaining. i'd rather it be difficult than easy.

not that i'm complaining. i'd rather it be difficult than easy.

You see, that's where we differ. I'd rather have an easy 800.

Ok, for the "logge" question it's definitely a corpse, because he has already fallen of the tree, but what did you guys get for the question about the Indian wedding where it said "obediant" in a certain line and "obediance" in another line. I put that the groom / husband was more similar to his uncle than he thought he was. Is that right?

I agree with boredofeducation on both of those questions. Logge corpse and obedience like uncle.

I think it was definitely harder than AP English Language.

I agree with bored of education as well

logge was definitely old man, not corpse, and he was "more like his uncle than he realized"

this test was tons harder than AP Language

Logge- old man, although I'm starting to regret it. Corpse was probably correct.

Demonic blood- statue question-- I didn't put the sex answer down. Instead, I think I filled in the one directly above it... something like he allowed the statue to have demonic power over him. Personally, I thought the sex one was reading too deeply into the verse. But it was definitely a tough call, especially since sex can be seen as a form of control. In that case, they were one of the same.

Overall, I think I'm screwed. I'm glad I took the lit test last; otherwise, I would have been whimpering all throughout my other tests.

In the poem, what did the "just" in "just beauties" mean? Was it "rightful" or was it "true"?

I guessed on that one. The choices I remember were barely, merely, true, and rightful (I think).

which one did you guess? also there was a question where you had to guess what kind of a poem it was. some of the choices was like popular ballard, pastoral elergy, italian something something etc. I left that one blank but what was the answer?

I put Italian/Petrarchan sonnet. It had 14 lines, I think. It wasn't a ballad or a death poem.

is anyone else really worried about this test? think the curve will be more generous than usual?
