<p>okay,you’re going to want to “rip the dvd” you can google software for it…</p>
<p>i use “mac the ripper” but I don’t know if its still available. then you’re going to need to “demux” the file a program like ffmpegx or mpeg streamclip should do the trick.</p>

<p>yeah because a movie burnt to dvd is “muxed” and a .vob file… youneed to change that to a .mov or .mpeg-4. Unless you just burnt the file to dvd… which by the sounds of it you didn’t because dvd player pops up.</p>
<p>you could use handbrake and skip the second step. Handbrake will take the VIDEO_TS DVD mumbo jumbo and save it as an h.264</p>
