<p>dream But why are you pessimistic. It seems that all the people who have been accepted had “being reviewed” as their status prior to the acceptance. What are you thinking?</p>
<p>newyorkerII…at this point don’t worry about any of the status changes nor the back door method of checking. (if you really want to check look at previous post by dream as she has explained it quite well…it has to do with the boxes that appear on the checking application page)…none of those seem to matter right now AND it will drive you crazy. In the past few weeks going from being reviewed to forwarded to being reviewed meant acceptance. This past week acceptances have been recv’d with no status change from forwarded and there have also been acceptances for spring admit with the being reviewed.
Your daughter got in to UC Berkeley…That is something to be celebrating for sure! REALLY hard for someone out of state!

I wish I had your optimism but as “dream” mentioned in a previous post “evidentially, everyone is changed to being reviewed”. Previously it had been good news but now with everyone being changed at the same time I believe the school has made their final decisions and a bunch of rejection notices will be going out on Monday. I will still keep my fingers crossed but I think this ship has sailed.</p>

<p>If you just got forwarded, they’ve mailed an acceptance letter. Maybe second choice, maybe spring admit, maybe first choice, who knows? But they mailed it. I’m guessing I got into my second choice of Broadcast Journalism and I was rejected from Film Production.</p>
<p>If you have reviewed, its half and half. There is no way all the acceptances have gone out already. But really, we just have to wait and see…</p>

<p>The reason I say forwarded= mailed acceptance is because some people on other threads, and even some on this one, finally got the forwarded one in middle March, on the same day their acceptance letter was postmarked.</p>
<p>Don’t freak out about the back door, none of the logins worked for me and I got in. /:</p>
<p>Also - does a separate package from SCA come after the general USC acceptance package? I knew I got into SCA cause it listed my major on the acceptance letter, but I’m wondering if I should keep checking the mail…</p>

<p>@newyorker - I’m just trying to prepare for the worst so that I don’t get my hopes up too much. I think “being reviewed” just means that they’ve made a decision… which could be either acceptance or rejection. We only knew it was acceptance early on because rejections don’t go out that early, but at this point it’s fair game. 
In past years the acceptance status became a rejection status towards the end because it only meant “decision was sent.” I really don’t know. I’m not going to try to speculate anymore, I’m just going to wait for my decision.</p>
<p>@Flintlock - I noticed in another thread that you said you had a 2.7 UW… I’m sort of in a similar boat. How were your test scores? Do you think there was another part of your application that compensated for your GPA (besides your SCA supplements)? Obviously USC could have still rejected you even if SCA had accepted you, so you must have stood out really well to them. That’s awesome, congratulations.</p>
<p>@dreamupsided0wn: My test scores were pretty good, but not spectacular (32 on the ACT, 2090 on the SAT). I’m pretty sure what happened with my app is that USC wanted to reject me but SCA wanted me in, so they compromised. When I visited SCA last year, they told me that if they liked you enough, they’d fight for your admission. I guess I got lucky. (:</p>
