<p>^I have the same status. I was accepted to USC in January, but haven’t heard from SCA. I’m sensing a rejection… :(</p>

<p>Such late notification. However - there is a way to kind of check about admittance. Dream has detailed it a number of times, but search “backdoor” or “Oasis” ways of checking acceptance. Since I’ve already been admitted, this isn’t helpful about SCA, but it might ease your mind about your acceptance!</p>
<p>Ah, Backdoor link didn’t work for me till it appeared on my USConnect page. (roughly 5 days after the letter was dated…) So I dont think I can vouch for the reliability of the backdoor method anymore.</p>

<p>themitchster…did you get a status change? some people got changed to “the committee has acted upon your application…” Last year some with the “acted on” status got admitted, some spring admit, some rejected…so it just means what it says…the committee has acted. The only thing that looks like it was for sure is the interviews. Those that got interviewed…got in…(no word from one person but maybe she hasn’t been back to CC)

<p>hey yeah— mine has been acted upon. which means rejected because I didn’t get a dhl. I will try and be a transfer I’m just kinda rattled because I know my sca writing samples were good. but it’s all goooood. I got my other top choices:)</p>
<p>Mitchster - you’re in Canada, right? They might not DHL it to you - I know Malik lives further away and didn’t get a DHL.</p>
<p>I am in Canada… that’s interesting bud but it seems a lot of Canadians received DHL and they have my proper email. i don’t know, I’ve pretty much given up hope. But I think all of us who did so much work for SCA who are to be rejected should get more than just a rejection letter. Like a page long explantation.</p>
<p>Yeah, I know what you mean… So much effort put into the portfolio. It would be nice to know why they didn’t think those who will be rejected would fit. :</p>
<p>I can speculate it had something to do with terrible scores… because (not to sound cocky) honestly, but my stuff was good and I’ve got pretty good ec’s.</p>

<p>I can always apply as a transfer—remember guys over 1/3 of SCA’s undergrads are transfers ;)</p>
<p>I do not believe not being accepted has to do with “not being a good fit.” They can only accept a tiny percentage of applicants. Maybe 30 or 40% or more would thrive in that environment. I think the decisions may often be somewhat arbitrary but they have to be made.</p>
