<p>Just today, my daughter’s status just changed again to:<br>
“The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you have not received our written notification, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.” Last night it said her app. was being reviewed by the committee. She applied to the SCA Animation & Digital Arts major (admits only 15 students), knowing full well that her portfolio wasn’t as complete as she would have preferred. (she was encouraged to submit anyway). We had inquired about whether she could still be admitted to the college even if she wasn’t selected for the intended major. They told us yes, they still consider all freshman apps for general admission. We heard 2 ws. ago from “someone with connections” that she was placed on a wait list for the major, but still haven’t received any notice yet either way - this tells me the admissions office was still working on their applications. Hoping he best for all of you and congrats to those who have “made it”!</p>

<p>dreamupsided0wn: I think you misunderstood. My D still has not received any written confirmation of admission, and has NOT been admitted to animation. At this point, we’re just hoping for admission to the school.</p>

Most of the people on there haven’t been accepted yet.</p>
<p>@nwfilm - “acted on” is the new status change. Right now, everyone who has already been accepted after having “being reviewed” changed to “acted on.” A lot of other people changed to “acted on” this morning too, including mitchster and myself. It means they’ve made a decision. Still, there are others who haven’t changed from “forwarded.”</p>
<p>@dream: WELL since I can’t access ANY info, I will have to keep waiting for SCA’s decision. The admin guy was stumped as to why my site does not work.</p>

<p>My son was also accepted for spring 2011. His letter arrived today 3/29, was dated 3/25, and his online status still states “being forwarded”. We are in Northern CA.</p>
<p>My son applied for production. Unlike NW Film, the second page of the letter says he was admitted as an undecided CLAS major (which was his second choice). It also says “As you know, the School of Cinematic Arts conducts special admission review of its candidates. However, we wanted you to know now that you have been accepted to USC in the major noted above. Once the School of Cinematic Arts notifies the Office of Admission of its recommendation, we will contact you again. In the meantime, please consult the School of Cinematic Arts bulletin to note the additional special documents that are required of you as a cinema applicant. If you do not supply the School of Cinematic Arts with these materials by the stated deadline, your application to their program may not be reviewed.”</p>
<p>This is very confusing. At first it sounds like my son should be hearing from CSA soon; then towards the end it sounds as if they expect him to reapply all over for the spring. Aargh! How frustrating is that? I’ll call to check tomorrow.</p>
<p>Quite honestly, this is only pushing my son towards NYU, which is where he was leaning anyway.</p>
<p>nwfilmstudent: I first logged onto the USConnect. Once in, I clicked on Admission, then Undergraduate Application. In the screen which opens, it says Main Menu. When you scan down toward the bottom, it says application status, then below that has the heading "undergraduate application (Part II Fall 2010): The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision… Are you the person who has had trouble with USConnect?</p>

<p>dance: Yep-that would be me. Even the admission guy who does their IT in admission was stumped. He could not get it working on my or his end. Mine has always been Main-Undergrad App (Part II Fall 2010-School of Cinematic Arts)-Profile-Application Status

<p>So, nwfilmstudent after you log in, when you tried to click on the "undergraduate App. box, did the screen kind of “blink” ? It did that for me about 2 wks ago so I couldn’t get anything to work. Tried it on 3 computers. Turned out it was my pop-up blocker.</p>
