Thanks for the offer you two, I appreciate it!

I logged on to AIM and talked to them on there, and they told me that my portfolio was still missing. She said that could mean it got lost in the mail.

I re-submitted everything online. I asked if there was any chance of points being taken off for presentation, and she told me that all of the materials are removed from binders before sending off to the committee, anyhow. So I think I’m ok!

Was it listed as missing in the admission documents too?

No favorite movies for me, too many great ones to pick one. Although the most recent one would have to be “Une prophete”, its absolutely stunning. Anyone here seen it? It’s in french and everything about it is just top notch. A must-watch for all the filmmakers here.

yeah I forgot about that if you wanna see it msg me for the password…
i’ve been having some trouble with vimeo may have to take it down and put it up again

I’m from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I also applied to Northwestern (like every other person in Illinois), NYU, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, and Wisconsin-Madison. USC is definitely my top choice though.

Thats cool man.
What do you mean add myself to the list?
I’m from toronto

I applied to USC (only school in the states) Ryerson, Concordia, UBC, University of Arts London and Bounremouth for film. and McGill. I turned down one of the top business universities in canada last year to redo my apps and apply for film.

FYI…the second wave of acceptances has begun…someone (Threetreasures) posted the fat envelope arrived today on another thread. The tread is “ACK! What does this mean? (status update)” Last year some SCA applicants got accepted to USC in the first wave with a merit scholarship (Dean’s) and the acceptance to SCA came later in March. Others got accepted in early March to USC (no merit scholarship) and the acceptance to SCA came in late March. While others got their acceptance to USC and their acceptance to SCA in the same package. Before getting the big envelope, Threetreasures noticed on the document page that she was invited to an Explore session for admitted student and had a prompt to be able to pay her deposit. That is for sure a good sign! For the majority of SCA applicants…seems the acceptance to USC and SCA comes at the same time…closer to the end of March! Good luck everyone…

Well, I just read the 2009 C.A. application thread and I am now “clinically” depressed LOL. I guess I should be happy that my 2nd and 3rd choice schools accepted me and are willing to give me scholarship $$. I ck’d my USC application status and I can not even click on its link so nothing is pending I guess. A family friend who went to USC in Theater said that she got a HUGE envelope with a nice “admission certificate” in Trojan colors in the middle of March (4 years ago).

@nwfilmstudent - wow, you’re the first Stark applicant I’ve ever seen on here. I think you’re also the first Master’s degree applicant for film that I’ve ever seen on here. Where did you get your Bachelor’s? Judging by your username I want to guess Northwestern maybe.
