Hi,

I was just wondering if universities require transfer applicants to send in official IB/AP score reports (more specifically, IB). I'm hoping to transfer to UPenn and similar schools next year and I was wondering if I would need to arrange for my IB Diploma results to be sent to the school.

Thanks in advance!

I would arrange to have the scores sent because your school may not have handled them in a way that would benefit your application to the new school. My school only allows a maximum of 17 hours credit for AP/IB/CLEP scores. I have more than that. In order to get credit at the new school, I sent the scores so they could be credited to the right course numbers. In most cases, it is better to let the new school evaluate as though it was your first application. My editorial opinion only of course with all the caveats included.
