sishu, i don't really care about the individual scores, but i saw a web page posted here a while ago with percentiles for composites, and i thought you might know where that is.

nevermind, i found it

first time taking, 0 preperation, so I wasn't expecting much at all. With that said, I'm still very angry at myself for my scores

Total - 2100

Critical Reading - 690 94%
Math - 750 98%
Writing - 660 92%
Multiple Choice 68 (score range: 20-80)
Essay 8 (score range: 2-12)

I know its not necessarily a bad score but I'm not happy with it at all considering I want to attend University of Pennsylvania. Let's hope for 2300+ next time :D

It's my second try, and even though it's higher than my first try it's not as good I could've done, since I wasn't feeling my best on the test day. It's good enough for me to convince myself not to take it again though.

CR: 720
M: 720 (lack of focus right there, should have gotten >750)
W: 760 (mc 75, essay 10)

CR: 670 92%
M: 750 98%
W: 66MC 9E 670 93%

How would this look to business schools like NYU Stern, Penn Wharton and Georgetwon....competitive...weak...??
Also, this was my second time and i increased 70 points in CR 80 in M and 100 in W.....i doubt i can increase reading, could maybe increase math and am pretty sure i could increase writing....should i go for it risking the drop in both math and CR???? Thanks for your help.

"Of course they will see all of your scores. Sorry for that."

asdklsljkdijf. I guess that I'll be sending my ACT scores.
My math score isn't terrible. It just looks really bad next to my other scores... invalidates my really good math grades at school... and is especially terrible because I want to go into chem, which requires a pretty strong math base.

Also, I got one problem wrong on the practice test I took (which is about an 800, right?) Thanks to my terrible luck... 620 on the actual test. Ugh.

holy crap you kids are smart.

haha my scores blew. but i went to a party the night before and i was actually sort of hungover and i didnt study at all. my scores were:

CR: 620
Math: 580 (eeek. im SO good at math. i overestimated my skills though...i didnt realizing not having taken a math class in manyyyyy monthes would have a huge impact on my score, hahaha)
Writing: 650 (essay:12)

total:1850.

i couldnt believe my essay got a 12. my english teacher almost peed her pants when i told her.

im taking the SATs again in sept. and i plan on actually studying a bit. mostly via vocab, and im taking a math class in summer school so i think i'll be fairly prepard for the math, but i'll still take as many practice tests as i can get my hands on. cool.

Why the hell would you party and drink the night before the SAT?

because not everyone is as test-intense as some of the people here. not saying it's a good idea, but plenty of people (gasp) don't take hundreds of dollars worth of test prep or pore over books or act as if their life is on the line.

Verbal: 680
Math: 780
Writing:710

I'm happy, but want to boost my Verbal to a 700....

Umm, don't put words into my mouth.

I never said she had to spend hundreds of dollars or anything like that.

I'm just implying that it isn't smart at all to do that, if you want to get a good score.

And I'm saying maybe it's just not as important to her.
