Official Scripps College Class of 2021

@smcirish When I got accepted into Pitzer, my financial aid came with the packet!

for people that got merit scholarships, did it tell you you got one in the admissions letter?

@lam149 yes it did! (in bold)

@isvbellelee about how many days did it take for it to come in the mail?

@lb1218 It depends where you live! For me, it took around 2 days after I received the news on the portal and I live around a hour from the Claremont Colleges

Rejected…
Stats:
GPA UW: 3.95
ACT: 26
EC’s very very good
Letters of Rec did not read, but I knew the teachers very well
Many IB and AP classes
I don’t really know what they didn’t like

Isvbellelee - would you mind posting your stats?

Rejected with a 3.9 UW, 4.4 W, 1510 New SAT (out of 1600), lots of ECs, and I thought my essays were good. I’m not sure how my Letters of Rec were but I don’t think they were horrible (probably not good though) lol idk whatever

Accepted!! I am so happy, and grateful.

can people who got accepted post their stats?

Congrats to all those who got in! I was waitlisted, which I was surprised by as my stats are at the 75th percentile,I had a ton of leadership in ECs, and I did the interview+overnight. I guess it shows you that things are truly holistic and exactly how strong this incoming class is. Again congrats to those of you accepted.

@smcirish So far we just have the scholarship info. Congratulations to your daughter!

Rejected from here and Davidson today. Honestly so disappointed I’ve lost hope.

accepted. would the merit scholarships be shown in the online acceptance letter or in a mailed acceptance letter?

I feel like posting stats often comes off as braggy & isn’t really useful but I’d like to give some advice to anyone anxiously reading through this thread in the next couple years:
first off, my gpa and SATs weren’t off the charts amazing. they were strong but not groundbreaking, so don’t assume you won’t get in because you don’t have a perfect 4.0!!!
I think the strongest parts of my application were my supplement essays and my interview. make sure your essays are really focused on scripps and wouldn’t work for any other of the 5c’s. also, in the interview I made it clear that scripps was my #1 and I think that really made a difference
So good luck to anyone reading this in the coming years… and honestly, try to stay off college confidential!!!

accepted!!

@Onlineschoolworkstoo

ACT - 32
GPA- 3.86 (weakest point)
Essays- I thought my essays were good
LORs- I know both teachers really well so I think that was one of my strongest points
ECs- ECs were definitely a strong point since I involved myself heavily in both school and outside activities
My school is more STEM focused and going in as a psych major, I wasn’t able to take as many APs as I would have liked to

I also toured & interviewed with Scripps!

I got accepted!!! How do we find our financial aid package?
