I’m doubtful about my chances and I’m junior at Stern 3.7 cum GPA with experience interning at a boutique investment bank and currently interning at a private equity firm.

I’m nervous too. I applied SEO career program for IB 9/27, have yet to hear back.

this program looks at the gpa but what they are interested most is in your knowledge, experience, commitment and passion about the field.

Im not saying anything about gpa, of course a gpa helps and higher the better, but a gpa doesn’t get you in automatically, its probable sure that high gpa student will get to the next round, but its not the most important thing.

mizerable, you have a great background, im sure you will hear first, i applied for corporate financial leadership, i think more people apply to investment banking.

just did mine today… how did everybody’s interview go… i felt like mine went well but my interviewer was kind of cold, did anybody kind of get a hint from there interviewer that they moved on

I had my phone/screen on Monday…she called my cell phone despite that I provided a skype account name, and my cell phone is not very clear so I had to call her back…that took me 5 mins…

Other than that, I think it went OK, although I think i could do better. But I was just too nervous. The lady was extremely nice. She gave me feedback on my answers for the last few minutes (a bit wired, never receive feedback in an interview except mock ones). Then she said I will hear back from her within the next month…

By the way, my stats:

3.9 GPA, REALLY poor SAT (I’m an international student)
Target school, liberal arts major, no finance-related experience at all

i live in puerto rico. i have the option to a skype interview but i decided it would look way more professional and interested to do it in person, so i will fly to mia on december 10
