no.. I meant 3 points

Very happy, managed to drag the composite up two points... from the bottom to the top of the mid-50% at most of my schools. Wish I had improved math a bit more, though.

Sep:
33: 30m, 35r, 34s, 33e

April:
31: 28m, 29r, 35s, 33e

DD's scores aren't up either, and she swears she bubbled correctly. Her friend who was at the same test site (in MD -- had to drive in from out of state), also didn't get scores today. Have to wonder if that whole test site was messed up somehow....

I sure hope it doesn't really take a week for more scores to be posted...

I think they post them over a three-day period of Tue-Thur. I wouldn't worry.

ahhi got mine, my comp was the same...but still which score is better to send to colleges:?

1: comp: 32

english 32
reading 32
science 32
math 33

2 comp: 32

english 28

science 36
math 34

28 :\ First time though, no practice.

33e

Chick next to me was rubbing her pants during science...noise drove me crazy...couldn't answer questions...taking an OCD pill next time...

Does the ACT go on your h.s. transcript?

dont schools take the highest from each test? i'm not sure if it's right, since i'm unfamiliar with the ACT, but your highest composite would be a 34 right? isnt that what colleges look at?

They look at the highest composite, but they don't pick and choose (i.e. take your highest reading, science, you get the idea). However, they only look at the highest score sent to them so what you don't send to them, they'll never know about.

ahhh science really screws me over! how can i improve my results in that section?
June:

1 week of studying, way easier than the SAT

paniwani, 1 week haha? how did you prepare?

How do you review your ACT score for October 4-6 without paying $8 ????????????????????????

As to some of the above questions: (a) majority of colleges for the ACT consider only that test with the highest composite, which is the opposite of the SAT where majority of colleges consider the highest subscores from multiple tests; however, some do mix and match ACT subscores from multiple tests and at least one, Rose-Hulman, mixes and matches ACT with SAT scores taking highest subscores from either; (b) the ACT sends to a college only that ACT test score specifically ordered, unlike the SAT which always sends all of your test scores when you order any one sent to a college; (c) nevertheless, majority of high schools put your test scores on the official transcript that the school sends to colleges.

i bought the Real ACT book and took all three tests. i did some of the online problems at actstudent.org; and about two days before the test i bought PR and barrons, but didn't have enough time to go thru all their tests. PR is a little easier than the test, but still very good for english/math, bad for reading/science. barron's is just terrible, its way too hard for no reason, its just intimidating. oh yea, and i didn't care too much when i took it, because my focus is/was on the oct. 8 SAT. its a lot more straightforward than the SAT, no tricks, just worry about careless mistakes

I'm pretty sure we all paid the 8 dollars.

Good job on your 35, joe. =] What did you do to study?

I studied by buying the official red ACT book.

Spent maybe an hour looking over the format, then did a section every few days until I finished the three practice tests.
