I don’t think I ever had 4. Couple of 3s though.

^ that i noticed alot of chains O: but nothing more than 3

what is the usually curve for this test. to get a 32 what is the most you can miss

I got stumped on two questions. The first was from the first passage, and it was asking whether or not too keep the part about like stitches and fine silk. I believe I put C for that, which was removing the portion because it deviated from the original point of the sentence being her clothing was simple, but I was still very wary.

The other question was the last question on the test, which asked what what the best way to end the paragraph and story. I thought C or D could have worked (C talked about how it continues to be used by artists to show a hope for better future, and D said that it had evolved greatly over time and is still played today).

Other than those two, I thought it was very easy. Hoping for a 34+.

@redsummer

Looking back at the 3 old ACTs in the red book, it looks like you can usually get 4-5 wrong to get a 32.

You needed the fine silk because it was more detail about why her clothing was for upper class people.

The last question was B if I’m not mistaken because it talked about what could NOT be a possible end.

Hevydevy is right on both counts

The science section was…torture

thank you @vgfantic

VG, I thought the silk one was C too. the entire paragraph was focused on simplicity then that part went into the fine details. didn’t seem right

it was about finding the words that would NOT fit in…

something like…

a. appearances
b. categories
c. variance(?) something lik that
d. types

it was supposed to replace “styles” in the “styles of the music” whats the answer? A? lol

Appearances

HEY EVERYONE
there was one question on the Tippy passage like

(of which) consisted of canoeing … etc.

the answer was either
c) that
d) delete the underlined portion

I put C, but I wanna know the general consensus so what did every one else put??

There was 1 question that was something along the lines of:

After playing the game, our shoes were covered in red dirt, so our legs were colored red.

The “so our” was underlined. Were you supposed to delete the “so” or keep it? One makes sense logically while the other is better grammatically.

",so our" correct because so connects the two independent sentences.

I think.

@ch0pstick I had trouble with that one too! I think I put no change…

c) that

Sent from my PC36100 using CC

No change was keeping the ‘so’ right? I think i ended up putting that

I put “so our legs streaked dirt” (or something like that). It didn’t sound right but it was the only one with a conjunction, which was necessary, I think.

I deleted the so. I think that’s right. So implies consequence, and that doesn’t fit in the sentence.

the english section was so easy! i’m almost positive that i got a 36 on it, but like others have said, the science section was brutal and will probably kill my composite score :/
