Who is in the rejection club?

You can get your ID if you log into Slideroom and click on the confirmation page

@Mlolo98 I’m in the rejection club! BTW did you hear back from Arthritis Foundation?

Wow! They accepted 80 people - that’s quite a lot!
Congratulations to everyone who got in!

I haven’t heard yet but that will be today too.
I’m sure I was rejected there too.
I’m just not good enough I guess.

I got rejected. I kind of expected it but I still wanted to get in.
I got the rejection email at 5:01pm

Dear SIMR 2014 Applicant,
Thank you for applying to the Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program (SIMR). We regret to inform you that you were not one of the final candidates selected to participate in this summer’s program. We received an overwhelming number of applications (over 1430) for this year’s summer program and unfortunately, due to funding and lab spot limitations, we were only able to select about 80 students.

The selection committee had a very difficult decision to make as so many of you were well qualified. The selected students have already been notified and we are not expecting to have a wait-list. According to Stanford regulations, we also cannot have any volunteers in the lab. Due to the large number of applicants, we will not be able to respond to any emails about the decision. We thank you again for your interest in the program and we wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.

-SIMR Staff

@Mlolo98 I’m sure you’re great! They only accepted about 5.6%! These programs are hard to get into, and I know a lot of people from past years who got rejected from all the summer programs and ended up in schools like HYPSM.

Rejected ):

Can someone who got in pm me their application?
I got rejected but would love to d it again next year

Yeah I second that sentiment

I think my Arthritis Foundation application might have gotten lost or something, no rejection email yet!

@ankwen I have nothing yet either!
