Official Spring 2012 Cornell Transfer Thread

Why Tuesday? I have a presentation about mental illness on Tuesday :))

maybe someone would find a big envelope on monday. Last year lots of people received the envelope on monday.

@deadhead654 are you from NYC?

They received it on the 8th, which would be tuesday. I remember they said their letters were dated November 4th.

Nov 8th of 2011 is tuesday, but in 2010 it’s monday:)
so yes I’m also pretty sure some decisions are at USPS now

My application was forwarded to review on Oct. 7th. It should come sooooooon !!

@zchlafen, trust me - I wish it was Monday too. Who knows? I don’t recall any GT’s hearing this early from last year’s thread anyway so you could be right.

@Jeremy mine was forwarded Oct. 12th I believe, submitted the app Sept 2 ahaha

@deadhead, ical knows~monday is a big day!

It’s said that they only accept around 5 or 6 out of 120 (NO GT NO ANY AGREEMENT) for external spring transfers. That sounds really scary.

@Jeremy, I’m from Jersey. And I really hope since CALS is transfer friendly, it will counterbalance the difficulty AEM presents for admissions.

Also, according to those three who have been admitted so far, if we receive admission on Monday, we should have access to h****** now (lol, it has become a sensitive word!) OR , I don’t even want to have a try. Ho~~~~

lol it’s not so crucial though, many of them received the admitted letter first then email then being able to log in housing portal

hahah I could care less. The way I see it, the day after I receive notification - its 2011 A.D. (After Decision). I can’t think about anything else right now.

@deadhead yeah 2011AD! really like this expression!

Sorry if I caused any confusion. I got GT for fall 2012.

@deadhead654 Their website says “Admission to AEM is HIGHLY COMPETITIVE…” I haven’t seen many other majors emphasizing the ‘brutal’ competition.

sorry for the ignorance, but maybe they give GT first because they don’t have to evaluate you the credit equivalence thing, which is really time consuming. so I didn’t count

@t49506gg Would you mind sharing your stat? coz @deadhead and I are applying for AEM as well.

@Jeremy, I know man, it sucks. I hope that through my essays, work experience, and recs, they’ll make the right now ;)

I sent you a private message.
