To answer your questions…the acceptance packet indicates the accepted response and $400 deposit is due no later than Jan 6. Also, the envelope size is 10" w x 6.5" tall, white and red with Congratulations! Welcome to Cornell University on the front. Inside is the letter from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions along with a page about Fin Aid, housing briefs, registration of courses during orientation theweek of Jan 16. Classes begin Jan 23. Res housing opens Jan 16. There is also a nice brochure about the campus and Ithaca. This is a lot of info and I’m providing because our family knows how stressful the process is. My son got the phone call from ILR Admissions last Thursday and got the packet Tuesday. GoodLuck All!!

@cjw2xd wow so they give the decision away before you even open the envelope? Oh god, now I’ll know exactly the what the decision will be.

@cjw2xd thanks for the specific details. it really shows what a dedicated father you are because you’re informing us, prospective students, what to look forward to when you don’t have to. your sons very lucky. thank you once again for the specific information, it really means a lot.

@cjw2xd

Thanks a lot! You’re the best!

Have anyone heard anything from ILR?

Just got the rejection letter today. Seems they’re going out now along with the acceptances. Best of luck to the rest of you.

@TimeOMyLife when did your application get forwarded to the admissions committee? Just trying to judge when it is that I’ll hear back.

@timeomylife sorry. if you dont mind me asking, can you tell me what school/program you applied to?

CAS and my application wasn’t submitted for review until November 3rd.

Oh ok. I’m sorry to hear that

Sorry to hear it timeofmylife
could you post or pm me your stats?

Truly sorry to hear about the rejection letter, TimeOMyLife.

Rejected CALS - Letter Dated 14th of November

I know you guys are wondering so i’ll just tell you:

Current College - Geneseo (Most rigorous SUNY)
Current College 3.84 - Summer courses at Comm. College - 4.0
Total College GPA around 3.9
High School GPA - 3.72
SAT - 2200
AP Scores not too good (3’s, 2’s and one 4)

All required courses completed
Good Rec’s
Decent Essays - Was truly passionate about pursuing the major and about transferring

I honestly don’t know what my problem was, and this was the only school I applied to transfer to so yeah… kind of depressed. Oh well… Good luck to everyone else though.

omg here’s the monster, cals is actually sending rejection letters instead of shifting the timeline…
sorry to hear that TimeOMyLife and coolvip,
and coolvip, if you don’t mind, which major did you apply to?

Is this mean that people will get rejection letter from now on? no more acceptances?
i guess i should move on …

Rejected! From a top public university. GPA4.0 SAT2150 All Courses completed. Period.

@coolvip sorry to hear that. What did you apply for in CALS? AEM?

@username098 Judging from a close reading of the past transfer threads on CC, CAS and CALS release their decisions first. We should hopefully be getting more ILR decisions soon. But yeah, if you applied to either CAS or CALS and haven’t heard back yet that’s not the best sign I’m guessing. =[

Wow. 2 in one day. @TimeOMyLife and @coolvip, I feel really sorry.
Best of luck to us all here - I know we’ll succeed wherever we go.

any rejection from ILR?

yeah. I called CALS today and asked the lady if I still don’t have decision, then is that mean that I"m likely to be rejected, and the lady was little hesitated and told me “not necessarily” and she also said the decisions will come out till december. I guess this means that most of decisions we’ll get now will be a rejection letter.
