Can log in to housing…good sign?

@username - thats crazy, based on the sample from this board it seems that most people here haven’t heard anything. We can’t ALL be rejected…can we?

I applied for CALS, AEM. Glad the rejection finally came. Best wishes to everyone! Now I’m in Starbucks, enjoying the buy-one-get-one-free coffee with my friend.

Oh no this can’t be good then…

@deadhead654 - i really hope not… however, based on last year’s threads, i think if we don’t get our decision by late November, that means that we have high chance to get a rejection letter, especially for CALS.

@username, I’m really starting to deviate from last year’s thread - the timeframe for notification has been pretty different this year. For example, last year’s thread had ILR as one of the last schools to notify their applicants, however this year, the majority of people on CC who have found out/accepted have been…yep, ILR students. Strange?

@deadhead - ya it’s really strange this year. I also asked the CALS lady if this year’s decisions are delayed, and the lady said “not necessarily” and she repeated all decisions are available from now to mid december. : (
Hope the timeframe changed for this year’s admission.

They are so ambiguous with their responses that it’s almost pointless to ask them anything. So frustrating…

I know… but the lady hesitated when I asked her that if I didn’t get decision so far, it means that I have a high chance to be rejected. This makes me SOOO frustrating!! thou she said not necessarily.

@username098 I doubt it. The replies are pretty sporadic so I don’t think we can really say. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like this could go on for at least another week or two.

You guys need to bear in mind that transfer slots rely heavily upon how many kids are leaving Cornell this semester. that is why transfer admission is done on a rolling basis, the admissions committee needs to gauge how many students are leaving/how many spots they need to fill before they decide how many students to offer admission to. If 100 kids suddenly dropped out you would see an appropriate amount of kids gaining admission to compensate.

So, just to make sure you are accepted the best course of action is kidnap a student in the school you’re applying to.

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

to my knowledge, all “cals lady” can do is repeating what’s on the website because our materials are distrbuted to specific transfer admission guys, i think the lady may not know what’s happening

This does not apply to Cornell but I thought some of you who are waiting might find some peace in this story…One of my son’s friends had applied to several medical schools and had already accepted his admission to one. Two weeks before he was to leave for school the phone rang and he was offered admission to his top but very reachy choice. He already had all of his immunizations and had to transfer all necessary info to the new school. He started one week later at the school he had just heard from.

The moral of the story…it ain’t over till its over. Hang in there and wishing you all the best.

Thank you, Momma-three. I have to admit, my pessimism this last week has been pretty high. In the back of my mind I just have a gut feeling I’m not going to be a Cornell student next semester.

here are the 2 things i keep considering as people who were reviewed late have been notified: 1. The worst thing is our rejection letter is on the way. 2. We are not so qualified but they are trying to accept us, probably we are waitlisted though cornell doesnt use waitlist for transfer applicant.

Just got my long awaited rejection letter moments ago - I’m getting over it and going to Mich (yay!).
I’ll still be reading this thread and save my luck for you. Good luck!:)

@zchlafen, but mine wasn’t reviewed late, my app was forwarded Oct 12…lol?

@deadhead, yeah mine was processed on 15, i mean those who were reviewed on 20 or later have now been notified, so there is no way we are rejected and hear nothing now.

lol then what is it???

wyk sorry to hear that…but welcome to ann arbor!
