guys I have been following this thread for months and witnessed the admitted and rejected things. Anyway, college is not the whole and only thing in our lives and I really appreciate this unique experience(writing PS and essays, finding out our weaknesses and shining points and so on)… I haven’t heard from the hotel school yet but I am still hopeful. Be here with you all no matter we are rejected or not. :-)

Deadhead,

I have been clicking on this thread several times daily hoping to see you post and I am sending you a big hug. When I read your post up thread I wished this wasn’t a computer screen and that I was able to sit down and have a cup of coffee with you and your family. As you know Cornell only has a small number of spots available for transfer, and there are so many kids all over the country and world that are applying. The number of kids posting on CC are only a small sample of those who have applied.

As disappointing as this news is right now there is only one thing I know for certain about life, and that is that God has a plan for each of us, and for reasons that are unknown I really believe he does things that are good for us. Don’t take this letter as a rejection from Cornell take it as a great opportunity to move forward in another great school where you will shine and do amazing things. That is what I wish for you and all students who have experienced this situation. When you get to the next campus put this disappointment behind you because you have too much to do and you can’t be cluttered by “what if” thoughts. This is not the end of your academic life this is your new beginning…your time to leave your highschool years behind, and to move forward in a new place. You have a great future ahead of you and there will be years of education to come. Enjoy every moment and make your mark!!!

Give yourself a day to be sad but don’t waste too much time on the “what ifs.” It is a beautiful brisk day today…soak in that sunshine…go for a run…and move forward. { }
