Official Spring 2012 Cornell Transfer Thread

My friend applying CALS still haven’t received anything and he just called the admission office. The representative said his decision was mailed on Nov 10th!! And asked him to check his email but didn’t tell him if it’s a rejection. He has GPA 4.0 and completed all the pres. And the second decision letter will be sent soon. It’s really dramatic!

I still have not received any decision from ILR. I’m ruling out an acceptance since it looks like they have sent out rejections already but holding out hope for a Fall GT.

Transfersoon,

Still no news

Contemplating giving admissions a call if I don’t hear anything in the next few days

Transfersoon,

it is quite strange that we still have not heard anything…

Still nothing in the mail for me. I guess yeah it is strange that we haven’t heard anything yet but I’m not sure why

Nicoles, would you mind PMing me your stats?

I don’t understand why they are doing this to us. I have had my materials in for two months now, they were forwarded many weeks ago, and it has nearly been a month since the first decisions went out. I know they said through “mid-December”, but that is after they said just “November” or four weeks after they receive your materials. I have emailed them three weeks ago. No reply. I called yesterday, but the only person who could talk to me was out of the office, and they said they would call me back. Still no phone call. For a school that expects so much of both their applicants and students, I am dissappointed with this process.

How did you guys send the instructor evaluation form to your professors? Is there a way to send it online or did you have to print it out and have them mail it?

ALSO: Is the school report (for sophomore transfers) just a copy of your school report from last year?

Hey Noidiot, My friend received an email from Jason. C Locke, the director of undergraduate admission office. He mentioned that “Please keep in mind that our process is rolling and we have many students who have not yet received decisions. Please also note that rolling doesn’t mean that we read application once and arrive at a decision. Applications receive individual reviews and often go to committee before a decision is rendered. So the timing of your application going to committee and the decisions that other students receive are not necessarily related.”

I just now was able to log into the housing application portal. Not sure how to feel…quit playin’ games with my heart.

Hey All,
