Official Spring 2014 Cornell Transfers Thread

By mid-December. Decisions go out on a rolling basis.

Past years I think people have gotten it as early as early november, but like Jpapas said it’s rolling.

Hopefully early November!

Nostalgia
I have the same exact situation. I have never sent them SAT2 scores and I haven’t even taken the science exam in my life. I guess I’ll contact them on Monday. Lets keep each other updated about that!

^It’s a plan.

Hey AKawasaki my SAT green check marks are gone now :]

yeah mine too! which school are you applying?

^ILR and you?

Nice! I’m applying to SHA. It’s the only school I applied so I really hope I can get in. Mid terms are extremely important so I’ve been studying all day lol

AKawasaki, that sounds awesome! Keep the hard work up. SHA is the BEST hotel management program in the country wooow.

Anyone sending in the mid-term report this week?

[Mass Panic As Common App Crashes - Forbes](Mass Panic As Common App Crashes)

Basically they haven’t even looked at our applications yet…

@saitorider,

If you read the article, it explains how first year applicants cant actually finish their common apps. Yes, there was a problem at first with the spring transfers apps being sent to admissions, but are’s are all good now. But the article is exclusively about first year applicants and not being able to complete their apps.

Has anyone gotten an email requesting any forms? I got all my green checks already I’m just wondering.

I have some interesting (maybe) info on the number of transfer students entering (not acceptances, but transfers that are accepted and enrolled) into each college for Spring 2011.

CALS: 45
College of Architecture: 2
CAS: 7
College of Engineering: 0
Hotel Administration: 9
College of Human Ecology: 1
ILR: 20

Information came from: http://admissions.cornell.edu/sites/default/files/Intro%20toTransfer%20guide%202012.pdf</a>
which mentions total amount of transfers for 2011 (fall and spring)
and the document I posted a few pages back with fall students acceptances. (I subtracted total transfers '11- fall '11).

This is just information that may be of interest to you guys, it may not be accurate for some reason. This data may be for Spring 2012. Again, it’s just the number of enrollments per college, so there are probably a few more acceptances.

I had nothing better to do, obviously.

Those are interesting stats^ Thanks for the research and the math.

I spoke to ILR admissions today and they said they would start rolling out decisions the week of October 28th.

OMG I am sooo excited!!! Thanks for the info :D

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone’s self service still says the application fee has not been received? I just called admissions and they said to wait another week.

My application status said the fee had not been received for a few days last week. They received it now. According to admissions, they are still importing information from the Common Application.
