<p>Ahh I was talking to my mom about Thursday (aka. day of doom) and I realized that I don’t know when Stanford decisions are coming out! Looks like the general consensus is Friday?</p>

<p>I’m not sure if that means that they’re not e-mailing until Sunday, or if they’re on schedule to release by Sunday but will release early like they did for EA.</p>
<p>In the past years they’ve always released it before Ivy Day though… so that leaves today or tomorrow… BUT that may not be the same for this year. Dunno. Oh gosh. </p>
<p>I need to buy a giant bag of Lay’s Flamin Hot chips… to go along with a bucket of Samoas ice cream. I still have some leftover Girl Scouts cookies too! But hopefully all our comfort food will be consumed joyously :3</p>
<p>I am so anxious about this. I literally have been checking my email every 10 minutes for the past few days. Thankfully I have been accepted at my second choice (Northwestern), but I still have this insane attachment to Stanford. I don’t think I will get in, but I want to so so so bad.</p>
<p>I applied in the beginning of October to Stanford for Early Action and was deferred, so I will have been waiting almost 6 months by the time I find out…</p>
<p>This whole thing for me is kind of surreal… it’s going to be really scary when I open my inbox and there’s a Stanford email. They’re completely playing the game of surprise here, and I’m somewhat petrified…</p>
<p>I don’t like how Stanford’s decision release times are so fluid!</p>
<p>For the past few years, decisions have ten released on the Friday before/on the deadline. This held true for the past few years–Friday Mar. 26 two years ago, Friday Apr. 1 last year, Friday Dec. 9 this EA cycle, etc.</p>
<p>Based on this trend, I’d say that results will most likely come out on Friday.</p>

<p>It’s like Christmas morning. We’ll find out if our achievements are worth coal or the coolest present under the Christmas tree (in Stanford’s eyes). Of course East Coasters get to sleep in in a way and find out later in the day while the West Coasters will probably find out if they put it on the site news as soon as they wake up). Okay I like making comparisons because it distracts me from the anxiety I have right now. </p>
<p>And girl scout cookies are one of the best survival kit components, kudos ^.^</p>
<p>Sadly us East Coasters won’t be sleeping in, we’ll be sitting at our computers from 2pm-9pm biting our nails to the quick -_-</p>

<p>Haha this reminds me of when Steve Jobs said that “if you live everyday as if it is your last, one day you will be right.” If we live like everyday is the day decisions come out, one day we’ll be right. But unlike the last day of our lives which I hope doesn’t happen for a long time, I hope decisions come sooner rather than later ^-^ I think I’m going to go to bed early today to hopefully give myself less time to worry. The future is uncertain and sometimes it’s just scary…even knowing the fact that things will turn out the way they’re meant to, I still care about getting in so much :’( But thanks for the advice.</p>

<p>Do you guys really think it’ll be tomorrow? And yes, it’s like Christmas, except that you don’t know if Santa will skip your house, and you’re not exactly sure it’s Christmas Eve.</p>
