oh jeez if I don’t get in, my dreams of going to an elite school is over
Top 20 school decisions were harsh!

I agree, very harsh. Stanford’s RD acceptance rate is just as low, though :(

I have to remind myself that it’s really not about where I go, but what I do and accomplish there.
If I don’t get in tomorrow, then I’ll just go to a state school (save $ and graduate quicker) And then, there’s another chance to apply, for grad school!
:)

What time do they come, again?

@jinglebell

Probably between 3-4

Stanford would provide an awesome opportunity for me, but I won’t get broken up if I don’t get in - a school doesn’t define a person. At least I have UMich, UCB, and Georgia Tech to fall back on.

@ILike269,
Seriously? You need to 1) get a life, and 2) to get your priorities straight.

^ Someone’s had a bad day.
- I do have a life thanks for your concern 2) My priorities are straight. I’m perfectly content with my acceptances. I’m merely expressing how awesome it would be to get into a Top 20 elite school and get an elite education. If I don’t get the opportunity, it isn’t the end of the world and I’ll be happy elsewhere.

I’m a pendulum swinging from thoughts of YES I HAVE HOPE to yup it’s probably a rejection…
Man oh man.
My last college decision.
They sure are saving the best for last.

is the probable time of 3-4 western time or eastern time??

West coast :)

ok just checking thanks!!

So roughly 10 hours from now.

Good luck everyone :)

already got 9 rejections in a row… cant face another one of save my Stanford!

Are they gonna post something earlier in the day letting us know that its being release “early”? roughly around, 9AM PST/12PM EST?

yesterday was a tough day for me too… Rejected Princeton, Cornell, Duke and Berkeley; waitlisted at Brown and Tufts, got into NYU Stern and BU. Stanford has always been my dream… but given the other results… man I’m desperate

Wow, reading about things like 9 rejections or a combo of only waitlists/rejections (Can we call it DENIALS instead?) I feel really badly for you guys. THAT is the epitome of a rough afternoon. I hope you have at least one school you feel good about.

Good luck to everyone today!

Shut down by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Wharton, Dartmouth, and Berkeley yesterday. Looks like I’m going to UCLA unless a miracle happens.

Good luck everyone =) Fingers crossed!

Heh… how about taking a gap year and re-applying to colleges (plus adding several new ones) with a completely new application, and then getting 6 rejections and 2 waitlists? Not much different from last year’s admissions results, in spite of the fact that I really took the time and effort to show as much stuff about myself as possible this time.

I’m happy that I was admitted to McGill, and I actually still have a withdrawn offer from UC Berkeley from last year, but… eh.

Hey everyone! I’ve been a ninja reader of this thread and feel the need to reveal myself now! (lol just realized how lame that sounded pls ignore that) before I share my day, just wanna say BIG GROUP HUGG to all and I feel you I got rejected by Penn, Columbia, Yale, Duke, Dartmouth, Cornell and Princeton today. It was devastating… I got wait listed by UChicago and accepted by UCB and UCLA. But Stanford has always been my number one. It seems impossible at this point though. The result will come out past midnight for where I’m at. After all the tears today, I think I’ll get some sleep tonight and open my Stanford rejection tomorrow wishing you guys all the best though! Although I don’t know u guys personally, all of you seem really cool n may we end up happy- wherever we go. :)

I’m holding offers from USC, UCLA, Berkeley, Harvard, Columbia, Duke, Rice and SMU. I’ve already turned down offers from Chicago (great school but there are other schools I’ve got offers from I’d rather attend) and Uni of Pacific (safety school). Yale didn’t want me.

Stanford is the THE one I really want though. Although being accepted by Columbia (really was not expecting that) has thrown a spanner in the works somewhat.

I wish it were time already.

@pinkcoconut You have some great great great splendid amazing options though (Columbia and Harvard, wow). You’ve been way luckier than many of us here who’ve gotten one slap in the face after another. YOU SHOULD BE ECSTATIC ! :)

Just a bit of humor to brighten up the thread this afternoon.
