With about 20 days left until decisions, I thought we might as well start an official countdown!
Anyhow, I was basically deferred through REA, when I applied through Questbridge. Stanford is my dream, and I think I would keel over in joy if I actually got in! Anyhow, best of luck to all of us! But remember, we'll all end up loving the college we go to, if we give it a proper chance, and that's the most important thing to know.

Imminent rejection detected

Unofficially 13 days left :)

Nerdlings, didn’t you get waitlisted at WUSTL? I did too But I’ve decided to blame on my extreme lack of demonstrated interest.

@overachieve92: actually it’s approximately (depending on timezone) 12 days, 10 hours, 42 minutes, and 25 seconds. But I’m already bent on the unfortunate notification of a rejection. I’m ready… maybe… maybe not.

@Sleeet

i don’t get it. why would it depend on time zone?

wait, when does the decision come out?

By April 1st, but last year they came out 3/25, I think.

oh okay, thanks!
i hope it comes out around that time again this year! hard to wait so long!

sigh I’m not looking forward to that day. Ignorance is bliss.

Same here. I’m desperate to find out… but just having the hope of admittance is better than being rejected.

@impetuous

Well, I’m pretty sure that you (and any other applicant on this site) can live anywhere in the world, not just in Pacific time… Oh, and that timeframe is based on it being 12AM - not an actual release time. 12AM since that’s when the 25th begins, obviously.

If it follows the same pattern as the REA letter, than it should be around 3pm PST.

I’ll conform to the assumption given just a little while ago. From what I can see (via [Admission News : Stanford University](http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/site/news/index.html)), last year’s decisions were indeed released around 3PM (Pacific time of course) - for RD.

Gahhh. It’s getting difficult. Now and then I think about my application, how it’s already been analyzed by the AdCom… I feel extremely anxious, worried. And then I feel fine again, knowing that I gave it my all and if they didn’t like me for who I am, then so be it. Such a bipolar condition I’ve been living in. Sigh…

Yeah, I got waitlisted, but…

Whatevs, so did many others.

An email sent by Stanford earlier says that decisions will be sent out in an email :

“We know how hard you have worked and how thoughtfully and earnestly you have prepared your application. We look forward to reviewing your application and will honor your efforts by carefully and completely reading your entire application. We expect decisions will be sent via email from Dean Richard Shaw on April 1 after 3pm (Pacific Time). Decisions will not be released over the phone.”

@Sleeet

Yes people live in different parts of the world (my time zone is GMT). But how would that possibly affect how many hours are left until decisions?

OK Impetuous we get it… He made a mistake regarding time zones, thanks for pointing that out -__-

@goldysocks: i got deferred through questbridge too…hopefully they decide differently this time :]

@concretegirl, good luck!!! I’m super nervous, since Stanford is easily my top choice, and I wanna go there really badly. But I’m somewhat prepared for a rejection. D:

im prepared too, fortunately i got bad news from ucla and caltech first, so it won’t be so hard if stanford is a no :] i’ll probably cry inside though.
