Official Stanford SCEA 2017 Applicants' Discussion Thread

@stanfordready

Just give it some time the email says if it still says not processed by Nov 10th then you can fax it in, no need to stress before then just keep checking once in a while.

Submitted my application today!!

Does anyone know how to check receipt of an additional letter?

@swimmer2345

Stanford doesn’t track optional materials, like the additional letter. I’m worried about mine too.

@swimmer and some1: maybe if you inquire to “aepedicord@stanford.edu”, you might get a response. I sent an email asking whether Stanford received my arts supplement, and I got a response stating that Stanford did receive mine. Even if they don’t reply, simply asking can’t hurt.

@stanfordready: I am not sure why yours isn’t processed yet, because I took the October 2012 SAT, and as of today, Stanford is listing my SAT/ACT under “credentials processed.”

As of today, all parts of my application are processed! I am not sure whether to be excited or nervous- maybe both? Good luck to everyone applying!

Does Stanford track college transcripts as it is part of the Common App? I sent them in by mail through the colleges I went to…

Quick (and possibly dumb) question: I’ve already submitted my two ACT test reports and SAT test report, but one ACT sitting was stronger than both of the others, so I only reported that on the Common App. Should I report the other two tests on the Common App as well, even though I’ve sent in the score reports?

I think you should.

The only reason I’m hesitant is because other schools will be able to see the other scores as well.

Horcrux, I believe there’s a way to make more than one version of your common app. I heard people talking about that last year. You might want to look into that as an option.

Here’s a link.

[College Explorations: Yes You CAN Make Changes to Your Electronic Application](College Explorations: Yes You CAN Make Changes to Your Electronic Application)

Just applied! So much tension! I wish all of us a great time while we wait :P

Hey guys, I have a question. So I checked my Common App today and saw that my Common App was “Downloaded: 10/16/12” even though I submitted it on the 15th (and have the confirmation email). To all of the arts supp people out there, this still counts as by the October 15 deadline, right? Please say yes… I’m getting really nervous now :/

^^^
You are totally fine!! Lol
This is what it says on the Stanford Arts Supplement:

*The Common Application and Stanford Supplement must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific time) on the appropriate deadline.

Deadline is Oct. 15, so you have nothing to worry about. Relax!

Haha okay, thanks…I wish it recorded the exact time of your submission like it does for the payment. Gosh, it’s only been like two weeks and I’m already going crazy.

I guess downloaded just means when Stanford actually processes it? Like how there’s a lag time between when your teachers submit their recs and when Credentials marks it as submitted.

I can totally understand your problem with the “downloaded” date thing. I try to not even think about the app so I don’t drive myself nuts… I don’t think the day is very far off when we will see a headline about a senior who committed suicide because of college application stress. :frowning:
Are you applying anywhere else ea or ra?

I submitted on Saturday, but I haven’t gotten an email from stanford telling me what all they have. Should I be concerned?

@pitabread
I think I should give it a few more days. If you are very concerned, you can probably check the status of your application by going to axess.stanford.edu. On the left section on axess, there should be a “check your application status” link under guest menu.

Ughh just submitted the app…now the wait begins. hopefully it’ll be on december 9th again. good luck to everyone else!

what does it say beside everyone’s supplement? does it say downloaded, because mine just says submitted. It says the application and recommendations have been downloaded though so yeah…

mine just says submitted too…my app says downloaded, though
