Official Stanford Transfer 2014 Thread

Hey sorry kind of off topic but did you guys notice an increased delay between the time you request your Stanford Application Status on AXESS and the time the email is sent to you?

It used to take around 3 minutes for the Application Status email to be sent to me after I request it. Now it takes 10 or more minutes. I pessimistically take that as a sign that my application has already been thrown away and now it takes the system a little more time to search the realms of the e-garbage for it. LOLLL

you are just freaking out - time delays for axess generally correlate to higher traffic. Btw, the people who work with application materials have no clue what your final status is. HOWEVER, @imXpandanese‌, if you are checking axess at this point, you should be praying that no one has checked your application yet (which is VERY unlikely).

Silly question: How do we hear back?

email

Do we hear back by mid May?

yes mid may (May 15th), but it could be a little earlier (Freshman got theirs 4 days earlier than estimated).

I bet it comes out on the 9th or the 16th

The decisions generally come out on Fridays, but they also don’t usually postpone the decision (even by a day), so I think they will come out on the 9th.

Not many days left lol

lol

I was just going through my application pdf copy and under Stanford honor code agreement it says no . Does anyones say the same. I hope I didn’t forget to “agree” to something important. Although I’ve gone back to the app and can’t seem to find that agreement.

@lamelcriada I would suggest faxing Stanford and notifying them of this issue ASAP. The honor code is pretty important, though I am pretty sure you would need to agree to it to submit your application.

Ok so some person from UCSD I’m only acquaintances with just got accepted into stanford as a transfer (well at least that’s what her long sentimental post on my Facebook newsfeed says)

I guess they’re already giving out results to some special people. :P

I don’t believe that at all. what did she write?

Haha don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just as confused as to what’s going on since I thought results didn’t come out til later. =____=

But her post says “Omg…I just got accepted as a transfer to Stanford! Thanks to all my friends and family who’ve supported me up til now and have believed in me. I feel so blessed and words can’t properly articulate how I feel”

I want to comment on her post asking her about her acceptance but I don’t know her that well haha

Seems odd they would tell someone on a Sunday and on Easter, no less

Haha I don’t see why she’d lie over Facebook though if people will eventually find out.

Given that she comes from UCSD and historically Stanford does not accept many traditional students from 4 year peer universities, she must’ve had an exceptional/ godly application. Maybe they sent her a likely letter or something…

That’s really good for her! :D

Okay I just faxed them. Can anyone help me and check the pdf of their app and check what your says. Its under Other information.

I checked and gave you that info - mine does say yes
