Only one week left! I am so nervous. I suppose I’ll get rejected but somewhere in the back of my mind I still have faint hope of getting in. Omg

@moriartee That’s the spirit! I’m just hoping someone from this thread gets in.

ahh im glad this is almost over I am 100% sure at least 1 or 2 people will get in that have comment on this thread

I think some of us have a chance to get wait listed too Not all will be rejected.

@setdreamfly I’d rather be rejected directly. Waitlisting is a whole new level of torture :/

Im with you on that @moriartee , I want to enjoy my summer and not keep on worrying about where Im gonna be living next. plus UC SIRs are due on June 1st . anyone else have a UC as a second choice?

Me!! Somehow I know that I won’t get accepted, so I’ve already submitted my SIR to Cal, paid $50 for the co-op application, and chosen my orientation date… Too bad that I never like blue. Red is my destiny.

Cal! Golden bears 4 me!

I think I may also go to Cal if not accepted, but UCLA despite not having the best location for me, has some really good classes I haven’t found at Cal. But ever since I applied to Stanford, Ive seeing people wearing Stanford t shirts when im out and about. maybe it means something >> or maybe it means I finally know what the Stanford logo looks like…

@ILikeCheeseNWine, when you called them, did they tell you whether or not they were still going through the applications?

I’ll probably end up going to Cal too. I didn’t get a feel for UCLA from when I visited.
BUT if I get into my dream school Claremont McKenna on May 15th, I’ll end up going there instead of Cal :)

Hey all (: I’ve been following this thread but just recently decided to post. I’m currently at Boston University and I’m honestly freaking out about college admissions. I just got rejected to Rice and I kinda think that if I can’t get into Rice, I probably won’t get into any where else. I have gotten into schools like Johns Hopkins tho.

But Friday AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

hi @soursop09 welcome to the thread!

… I expected everyone to be flooding this page right now considering we got only FIVE DAYS LEFT!!!

@soursop09 why do you want to transfer from BU?

trying to focus on all my end of the semester homework. my anxiety is usually already high so with this added , it is getting hard to focus. but im determined to finish all my hw on time. bye lol

Wait. @setdreamfly, or anyone else for that matter, is wait listing really an option?? I got wait listed at five schools last year. It’s a nightmare. But I guess if you get in after a wait list that’s amazing! Good luck to everyone!

wat do you mean is wait listing even an option? there is a wait list if thats what u mean…

@cj2017 I think wait listing is an option, albeit, quite a bit rare for transfers. If I remember right, a couple people on CC have been wait-listed at Stanford. I myself got transfer wait-listed at Dartmouth last year and it wasn’t fun…

I also have a question for anyone but I guess particularly for people who have applied to Stanford before this admission cycle or anyone who’s familiar with the situation. What do you think is the standard procedure for when the admissions people see the applied in the past ‘checkbox’ checked on an application? Like are you treated any differently than other applicants? I mean, I would hope that they would read through the entire application but with so many applications coming in, I could just see them seeing that and then immediately putting the application in the ‘reject’ pile. I guess I’m just getting a little bit nervous now after spending so many hours on this application and having no idea what the admissions process actually is like haha.

@Chelseanderby glad to see you finally posted on the forum… welcome!

As per your question, Stanford guarantees at least one read through of your application (so they will actually read your application), however I would suggest you ask @gravitas2 this question - the member seems to be quite knowledgable about these type of things!
