Official Stanford Transfer 2014 Thread

I don’t know why I’m losing sleep over an obvious rejection letter, but I am. Everytime I think of Stanford, my right eye just twitches.
I really hope the May 9th date is true. May 15th is just too long from now.

really hoping it’s may 9th too…i have 3 midterms next week so adding any additional stress with prolonged decision notifications will be grueling.

anyone else applying as a sophomore transfer?

@cj2017 Yes Waitlist is really an option. I have three friends who got wait listed by some other schools and finally got in. I’ve heard that some of them try to email the waitlisted school to express how much they want to get in to further promote themselves. That seem to work out for some people. :D

I’m a sophomore transfer @abstractions‌

@abstractions @setdreamfly Same here

I’m a junior transfer myself.

How are we gonna find out? Email? I’m out of the country so I won’t be getting my smail mail anytime soon :/

@moriartee you will find out via email - no need to fret!

I am … actually to be honest I don’t know what type of transfer I am thanks to my unique stats XD

@Sharingan100‌ thanks for the info. Man I know there’s a 99.9% chance of me getting rejected but somehow I’m still so nervous and excited all at one. Wish I could just hibernate until “judgement day”

technically 99%, not 99.9% XD

@Sharingan100‌ I made an account just to let you know that you’ve made like 40% of the posts in this group and it’s time to slow down, buddy.

you must have a lot of time in your hands. let him be excited as he should that at 18 he’s applying as a transfer student to stanford.

@mcnyypitt sry that I am irritating you lol just excited as @lamelcriada said!

@Sharingan100‌ it’s all good dude, I’m just kidding. Good luck to everybody this week!

Stanford listed the transfer notification date as May 15 on its website…

Actually…they have decided to throw a curve ball this year…and not go with their “courtesy” legacy letter date that was sent out by “tradition”…instead it will be this coming Monday May 12 at 3PM Pacific Time:

<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University;

Good luck to all!

I was just gonna post that. Beat me to it @gravitas2‌ and thank you for sharing!
Uhhhh I’m dyinggggg

Whew, thanks for the information! Looks like I’ll probably be in a final while decisions are released… haha

@Sharingan100‌ - Thanks for the info! I guess that makes me feel a little better as so much has changed for me.

I heard that they will actually start releasing on friday. They say Monday to give themselves more time. I don’t know, what do you guys think. I know I sound psychotic thinking the 3 days makes a difference but I feel like a lot of us are on the same boat and I hope others feel like 3 days is somewhat of a difference.

@minky44‌ where’d you hear the info from? Maybe they would send out notifications on Friday, since one of our pals here got a legacy letter with May 9th on it.

However, I don’t see them doing that after posting an official announcement. They close on Saturday and Sunday, which makes them impossible to contact. Technical problems might occur and nobody will be able to reach them on the weekend. The anxious applicant will have to wait until Monday :confused: I think it’s best they waited until Monday :confused:

I wanted to know the results early, but at this point I’m almost positive I won’t get in, so the longer I have left te more I can enjoy my life :P
