Official Syracuse University Fall 2012 Transfer Thread

Not sure if there is one already but I thought I'd make one.

I myself am transferring to Syracuse University for fall of 2012 as an Econ major and I thought making a thread would be interesting to ask some questions or just have a discussion with us Transfer Students since we all know there isn't going to be that many out there.

Post anything you'd like let's just stay on topic about Syracuse.

You got my pm ?

I currently have a 2.9 - 3.0 gpa wanted to know if I stand a chance with this gpa for the College of Arts and Sciences ?

And btw if you dont mind what were your stats ?

Anybody have any idea when admissions will notify? A month ago we were told “very soon.”

I’m pretty sure they have notified everyone because all the Spring Receptions are over and May 29th I receive my info to pick classes. Try calling them

Last I checked, they were still accepting applications for transfer students – so there’s still hope. Just hang tight, and I’m sure you’ll get a response soon! (It might be worth reaching out to check in, especially if you have deposits or whatnot that you have to submit.)

Thanks. D has called every day this week and previously left numerous email messages, not one of which has been returned. Frustrating. My mind keeps on going to a scenario where they ask me when I will be paying tuition and I reply, "very soon. . . "

I got in! Admitted for the IR program. Found out while I was on a temporary duty assignment in Missouri too, I’ll be finishing up active duty in the Air Force and switching to the NY Air National Guard this fall to attend.

Does anyone know much about housing for transfers? From what I understand we will be placed in the Skyhalls in the south campus, from what I can tell from the Daily Orange they are not well liked because of the bus ride. If they really are that horrible, is it possible to move after a year?
