I just called the undergraduate admissions office and have ascertained that the decisions that people saw this morning were NOT glitches. There was a fifteen minute testing window during which they released all decisions to make sure the system was functional.

In short, those who saw their decisions and were accepted, congratulations! You really were accepted. To those who didn't get a peek, worry not, the admissions people say that at about 6 PM today, the system will release everything for everyone.

If anyone wants to double-verify, call this number: 1-847-491-3741 and press 3 to speak to a representative.

No, they said officially 6 PM yesterday OR today. People on this forum construed it to be yesterday because it's what they wanted to read into the announcement.

Are you sure it was ALL decisions? Everyone reporting here seems to be saying only messages people saw were acceptances. Would a waitlist or reject who looked at same time have seen anything? And do you know what the 15 minute time frame was - from when to when?

The woman said that anyone who slipped in within the fifteen minute window would've seen their decision. Those who were overeager CCers, the group most anal about apps, obsessively checked and managed to squeeze in. It makes sense that we've seen mostly acceptances from this overzealous population since, I suppose, we care most.

Basically, all decisions were released, she said. And all decisions will be released officially this evening.

Did she say that "all decisions" were released then? Because I still haven't heard of a single person who was rejected online... and that seems odd, if they released all of the decisions, including rejections.

I checked this morning at around 9 AM Central Time and found my acceptance. Most likely, the "fifteen minute window" the rep spoke of is not completely accurate.

So for those of us who saw "nothing new", does that mean that we missed the window? Or only those with acceptances were posted? Any idea how long the "window" was open and at what time?

florastar, you're right. My decision was up for at least half an hour. I simply quoted what the woman at the office said. It is, as I posted already, not accurate.

guys, it probably wasn't ll the decisions, just a handful because.. it woudln't make sense to put all decisions up and then take them down.. it would make more sense to put few decisions up and take those few down.

Again, I'm not saying I'm positive that it was all the decisions. I'm just repeating what ONE woman in the office told me. Please feel free to verify.

S received acceptance package in the mail, but nothing online or in e-mail yet. Someone on another thread did get their rejection in the mail already, sadly. But, haven't heard from anyone seeing a rejection online yet during the "window".

Someone call the admissions office and ask if it was only acceptances. it's doubtful since only like a handful/100 kids got accepted. maybe all the same eager, over achievers checked that got in. it seems an unlikely coincidence though. or maybe if they checked and got rejected, they wouldn't post it on college confidnetial because they're embarassed. i mean if i got rejected or waitlisted, i probably would not post it.
