<p>I got more aid from Penn. They sent an email saying offer was online which came with more money and loan info</p>
<p>How is financial aid for sophomores and up? Do they get more money?</p>
<p>Penn is a private Ivy League college with a huge endowment. PSU is a state school that has little reason or means to offer good FA to OOS applicants.</p>

<p>I got a little “better” offer from the aid office; 16200, it’s not to bad. I might need to take a stafford loan, though, in the long run it would payoff, you know. I’m still waiting for some scholarship offers–I had applied in this scholarship “clearinghouse” thing, that my hs counseling office had been involved with, and I’m waiting for the notifications from the various scholarship agencies.</p>
