There doesn't seem to be anything on CC about 2014 Emerson Applicants so I figured I'd make the first thread!

Please post your stats also.

Pretty good essays I think (One can never know!)
and Great Recs.

(Anyone want to chance while we're at it? :D)

I’d say you have a decent shot at it. Your GPA is average, a little on the low side I think. Your SAT basically fits in with what they’re looking for. I’d say you have a pretty good shot, a lot would probably rely on your essay and recs. Nothing for certain either way

But today, on a hunch, I tried to log in to E-Campus with the id thing they emailed me when I applied. I was able to log in and access all the different features, except ECemail, beacause I haven’t received a letter with my temporary password for that. Can everyone do this? Or is it a good sign I was accepted? I’m not talking about the admission application interactive services.

I know last year NYU hopefuls were able to do this if they were accepted.

It might be. I just tried with my daughter’s id and it didn’t work. You used the id for the password? We are also waiting for EA decision tomorrow.

I was accepted to political communications- I’m really happy but it isn’t my first choice, I really want a campus and I applied early decision to vanderbilt to I am hoping to get in there this week!

ACCEPTED FOR FILM PRODUCTION!
my stats:
GPA: 3.4 UW, 3.82 W
7 APs, 4’s on APUS, AP Euro, AP English, 5 on AP Music Theory
ACT: 32 (35 R, 32 Sci, 27 M, 33 E, 9 essay)
School doesn’t rank (Los Angeles, CA)
ECs: tons of film work including internship at a set for 2 months for a professionally produced short film, newspaper editor, mentoring program (advisor), community service at LARMH (200+ hours), piano (12 years), cashier at local restaurant
Essays and Recs: I’ve been told great and my rec from my film teacher was superb

I was accepted into the Marketing Communications program! I’m so happy… I was waiting online and refreshing the page over and over earlier this morning. :)

Accepted into Marketing Communications! Emerson is not my first choice, but I’m still pumped to have my first college notification be an acceptance!

And even better, I was accepted into the Honors Program!!! This is even more exciting than being accepted for me, because the scholarship money makes t actually feasible for me to go there!!!

Hi – I was just accepted to Emerson for Theatre Studies: Acting. But my acceptance letter deferred me from the honors program and didn’t mention or have anything that said anything about merit money. What kind of grades and scores did people have that got them in to the honors program? Where do you go to find merit money, if any? PLEASE help me because Emerson is my first choice and I can’t go if I don’t get any money!
Thanks !

Hopefully these stats help for those wondering about the Honors Program. If you were deferred, don’t lose hope! It’s just a waiting game now.
