Congratulations! Was UTSA FAME posted or sent by email?
@hotsnowâ Sent by mail
Congrats to UTSA FAME acceptees. Did they say how many are accepted?
Congratulations on UTSA FAME acceptances!
Congratulations to everyone accepted to UTSA FAME! You guys put in the effort and now you can sit back and enjoy your acceptance!
May I ask UTSA FAME is 7yr program?
yes it is.
Has any one received NJMS interviews lately, do they still conduct interviews in march, please advise.
From the Youngstown state university website: 35 students are selected for each entering class. It doesnât say how many people they interview though. This is for NEOMED, the six year program.
Brown sent an email with itâs official decision date/time. To applicants that had not yet logged in to the portal, they sent an email saying - you have not yet logged into the portal. It recommended that you try it out because decisions are coming out on March 31, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
UTSA FAMEâs program has twenty students accepted per year.
That is the number of seats. I would expect they put some on waitlist since they wont get all 20 to show up?
If I remember correctly they had some wait listed students get in the first year and none last year. Thereâs always the possibility of a student declining the invite.
My son is a high school junior. He has perfect GPA, almost perfect standardized test scores, over 10 APs, shadowing experience, and 400+ volunteer hours in medical field. He has two summers of research internship at local bio-tech start-up. In order to get into competitive BS/MD programs such as HPME or PLME âhow important is it to PUBLISH the research?â The company told him not to publish as they are planning to go public. Appreciate your feedback.
@mdiqbal71â I emailed the dean of admission at NJMS and he said if you havenât received an interview it pretty much means you arenât selected for one. But it seems like they havenât sent the rejections out yet
@88mom88 One of my friends had no published research at all, but she has gotten interviews at nearly all of the programs she has applied to. Then again, she has earned awards at Intel since freshman year. On the other hand, I have published a research paper. None of my interviewers seemed impressed that I had published research, but they were impressed by my initiative in finding research opportunities.
@burningred Thank you for explaining with both scenarios nicely.
@88Mom88 I was accepted into Brown PLME ED this year. I had no research and no publications. I did have National level awards.
Has anyone had a UIC GPPA interview yet? I have one tomorrow and would love to hear if anyone has any tips???
How long does a candidate who is admitted have before they have to accept or decline a FAME invitation? Thanks
