@summerlover1 I don’t know about how many are accepted. 80 people to interview is a lot :0 maybe overall throughout the 8 UG schools and njms, but for one school it’s a lot.

@summerlover1 Yeah, i was always confused about the number of seats. honestly don’t sweat it too much. Looking at these kind of details just makes you too nervous. You’ll be a great doctor anyways and i’m sure you’ll get in too! Just sit back and prep for the interview if you didn’t have one and if you did, just breathe lol and be proud that you got an interview

Does anyone know about Stony Brook?
@summerlover1 My son applied to Stony Brook bs/md program. He has been accepted into their undergraduate program but has not heard anything about the bs/md. There has been no email indicating whether his application has been forwarded to medical school or not. Somewhere on the website I read that acceptance decisions will be made in early April. So, if by now, those who have not heard anything about an interview can consider themselves rejected? It will help if anyone who has received an interview posts in this forum so we know the status.
My D applied to Stony Brook WISE and BA/MD program. We got mail yesterday saying she has been accepted to WISE program but not selected for BA/MD program.

I asked someone about Stony Brook and they said they’d be sending out BS/MD info in about two weeks and general honors program info in the next week.
I got a call today from someone named jason from the UConn admissions office and I am not sure why. Could be for the program or something else

@Krish400158 That could be a good sign, but double check. My D just received the reject letter from UConn without interview. This is the first and last time we ever heard from them after application submission.
@Krish400158 I am a junior from west coast. I contacted him via email about a month ago inquiring BS/MD stats. He responded all my questions very promptly. Good luck!
Okay so apparently there was a mix up with the letters. So I have not opened a letter yet or received one, but he informed me that a few letters have been sent out with the wrong names or something. So I apparently have an acceptance letter on the way to me, but I actually have been denied.
You have to love these computers- Time for the good old pen and paper and snail mail.
